we worked our asses off on this. starting to get some airplay, so it seems doing promo pays off after a while.....
but goddamn it's tedious work.

this is sick. the synths match the track perfectly. your band plays super tight, it's mixed really well, and such good fun that it boggles my mind that you're having a hard time getting radio play. i guess you should try to get signed to a label as they have way more influence over how much exposure you get. my only criticism is that the female singer is a bit indulgent with her vocals, i think she should have kept it as simple as possible, but that is super minor.

je parle un peu francais aussi et je crois que les paroles sont effectif et entrainant. merci pour partager et bonne chance avec l'industrie musicale mdr

thanks a lot man! it's actually just my friend Fred doing all the instruments/mixing (and yeah he's good! he should have gone into music full time 20 years ago actually) and me doing lyrics/male voice.
We are starting to get some traction, it's just that in 2020 there is so much music out there it's hard to stand out. Labels nowadays don't sign anyone that isn't already internet famous in my experience... we got more stuff planned for september and beyond so I hope things progress. In any case we don't rely on music to pay rent so it's all good! plus we've given up on playing live pretty much so the covid situation does not affect us either really   :-X   cheers slappers

I’m the drummer in this band, we’re called Summer Houses. Me and the singer have been playing in bands together since we were probably 10 or 11, from crust punk to hardcore to sassy bitch rock. We’re on bandcamp but I’m having trouble linking.

One of my favorites from our last album:

The Suffers - I Think I Love You https://open.spotify.com/track/6QmviE3sCHSXKogcuZeMsH?si=-Y7AfM5STEOpjfbgTIZgkw

We started recording album three last fall, worked through the winter, and just now got back in the studio socially-distanced, minimal personnel at any one session, to start finishing it up this past week. Felt so good to make some progress and also just to play again after four months off. No idea what the next year or two will look like. Feels weird after spending five years straight on the road but we’re gonna put this next album out one way or another.
I only skate prime numbers, so it's either 53s or 59s, feast or famine

Got the mics set going for a skate through Marblehead. I'm putting down the first things that come to mind.

It's likely going to be called power violence again. I hate that term

I hope I'm not seen as cocky for posting this.

This was our band at one of the biggest metal festivals GRASPOP METAL MEETING in Europe last year.
Attended by 200.000 people each year.

I think around 5500 people in front of our stage alone?

I want to put the two bonus tracks on YouTube but is this even possible from a phone anymore?

Anyone got an app or a hosting site or something?

I have the art I have the tracks I tried to do it on a computer with the Corona noisecore sessions and I couldn't figure it out from Bandcamp to either

Been a little shy to share my music on SLAP, I like to hide behind the Armin persona lol.

But I love the shalomies and I'm proud of what I do, so today is the day ;D

Over the past year or so I've fully developed my project Spinster City. I call the style of music horror music. I'd say it fits into the range of post-metal and post-rock.

Recently released the debut full-length album, called "The Nihilist". All the music is free on bandcamp! The full-length is a mix of old and new songs, but has the new studio style. So naturally, I can't wait to get new material out toward the end of the year, as it will be the fusion of new songs and the new studio style!

Anyhow, here's a youtube link for a video called Studio Horror, made today!

https://youtu.be/mw5OCklJPyQ

And here's the bandcamp link. Cheers everyone - so cool to see how many killer musicians are here - no surprises though! So many talented shalomies.

if anything you should be proud man! Nothing wrong with being successful.
out of curiosity, do you manage to make a living with the band alone? Or do you still have a steady job on the side? I wonder what the threshhold is nowaydays to make a living out of music alone. I've always kept my job aside from music and I'm getting a little tired of it....
And btw props to everybody sharing their stuff here, whatever level you're at with your music! It's very shalom  ;D ;)

I just use other people’s music to make mixes with. Some are really technical and creative and some are kinda basic but the music is really good. This is the most recent one that I’ve made. If you like daptone and big crown records you will like this.

so we got a new single out.... and our keyboard player's 17 year old niece made an animated clip for it!
this new generation is insane with technology. She floored me. It probably would have taken 20 people to do animation like that 20 years ago....

PS :
dude I listened to your track the other day! seemed solid (and quite brutal  ;D ) but if you want mixing advice don't post a smartphone vid haha....(disclaimer: I'm pretty bad for mixing advice, I'm the lyrics guy in the band but hey I'm down to listen at least!)

reckon you could have a bit more bass in the mix though!
