Turns out, he couldn't ollie. All of his melon photos (on the street) were done via early grab, which I just find awesome.

I once drunkenly stole a porno from Wade Speyer's house. The porno took place in this old west town that had fallen under a corrupt sheriff and his goons, and in between scenes of people fucking anyway, all the actors talked about The Snake, who was supposedly on his way to clean up the town and restore order. The Snake finally shows up for the last scene that he shares with two women. He's dressed exactly like Clint Eastwood in the Dollars Trilogy, and upon being disrobed by the women, it becomes clear to both them and the viewer why people call him The Snake. You'll have to watch it 'til the end to find out exactly why (no spoilers!).

Yes I used to know the writer's name but I've forgotten. They're an artist and I think they lived in Texas when I tried to figure out what the deal was with that blog, which was at least 5 years ago. Their publisher also came on and talked about the writer's other work which I believe was all skate related, at least for that publisher. If you want me to put on my profiler cap, I would say they were someone who had flow level talent during the golden era and lived in California until they were pretty sure they were never gonna get put on and then dipped to explore other creative endeavors. There's definitely some insider truth to those stories on that blog but I think that's probably what makes them so compelling as works of fiction.

After looking at it more and watching the clip in slo mo, I guess he could’ve gone over it diagonally. Pop over the bench part cuz it’s lower. That approach kinda lessens it for me. You can hear his tail slap the end, which definitely lessens it even more. Shouldn’t have made the cut, but oh well, done been one up’d anyhow.

I think this is somewhat common knowledge, but Neil Heddings’ wife/baby mother used to walk around the ocean beach skatepark delusionally talking about their kid that died and asking where the baby was etc from what I can remember. Yes, but it’s from the the 70s original version of Skrewdriver. In the 80s the singer reused the name and they became a white supremacist band. A member of the OG Skrewdrivers kid went to the school I work at. Good kid, he explained the 2 different bands same name thing to me
