An underflip flips the board from underneath it.  So I've heard.  Definitely not a 360 varial kickflip.

A 360 underflip would mean using the top of the shoe [the vamp?] to flip the board from underneath the deck. His scoop is so good he almost inverts his foot, so that the bottom of his shoe pulls up on the deck from underneath to help the kick flip rotation. It helps so much that there's little for the front to do but catch—still a treflip to me

im a big convert to using your front and back foot equally on 3flips, but that said i don't think he's gone all the way to underflip.

if you watch the way mullen does 360 underflips, you can see even without looking at his feet that the flip has a distinctly different looking rotation (you tend to 'see' the flip more as it's own motion than just part of the parcel of the 360). on felipe's the way the board itself flips, looks like a classic tre.

(i know it's out of kaspar so a bit different but 3.14 is a good example of what i mean)

360 flip it 90% in the backfoot - but its a matter of style to use the front foot too.
Catch shoud also done with both foot equally and simultaneously!

This was not a underflip - this was just a unstylish 360 flip.
But we need to admit Filipe is doing them perfectly unstylish.
