parts filmed in a few sessions
« on: March 29, 2022, 02:53:51 AM »
I was watching  black label's blackout and omar hassan's footage seemed to be filmed in a couple of sessions so it got me wondering if there were any parts filmed completely in only a few sessions

omar's footage is at about 2:13

most penny parts will have a bunch of clips from the same few days.

his 'hard times but good times' part was filmed over a long weekend i believe.

Ricky Oyolas profile in 411vm - 18 hours from start to finish did it take to make it. Impressive. One of the best profiles in my opinion. Great track to it aswell.

Used to be the norm. Now it’s all Hollywood magic, all serious with a couple clips of people drinking and smoking thrown in for the most part.

max schaaf's part in since day one appears as if it was filmed in a single day, maybe two. and then there's a bunch of those early 90s videos where that was the case far more often

I have always loved that part. Perfect song choice and just great old man ripper vibes.

Another great part filmed in very few sessions. Eric Dressen - I ride for dog town, independent trucks and nicotine wheels! I always thought that sounded so cool the way he said it. Skating with out music was sick. I you have to watch one part today, I will recommend this one.

I think Ethan Fowler’s A Visual Sound part was filmed within a couple of very unstructured weeks but I could be wrong about that.

The common thread here seems to be aging bowl barneys doing a quick demonstration of what tricks they have left in their backyard pool. Or pre 1995 when filming a part wasn't about trying to get your best possible tricks on camera, but instead a quick demo of what you could do on the regular. Also, I'm assuming there were fewer filmers back then than today, so it was less common to have a camera around when you were skating.

I think at Nyjah's peak, he was filming full parts over a span of about a month.

I will just leave this here. This part was iconic for it's time. Maybe the part over the shortest time span that has ever been filmed?

one of my fave things about penny, is he'll do a trick perfectly in some really hard application, and then just leave it alone forever. the cab over the chain in this section is the only one filmed of hime ever - excluding transition, which is basically a different trick, given that you land forward.

Surely Greco's 2G part? 1/2 of it was filmed in one night.

Considering in interviews after multiple people said he was wasted every day of this trip this is really impressive
