On my first watch holy fucking Wade and Tiago man. Unfucking believable. That Jb Gillet VX section was sick too. Can’t wait to see Franky and Carlos’s parts. This is an epic video on par with Menikmati and Fully Flared so far.

As part of a no-push 4 trick line, what even.

He attempted a FS Tail in King of MACBA 4 and Sourbeer did a BS Tail in a Sabotage video:

Not to take away from all the other skaters (Wade’s tricks are fucking sharper and more precise than a razor) but just give SOTY to Tiago already, fuck!

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

The video description only lists Tre, Yamashita, and Jaeb as the team’s ams. What’s Pedro gotta do to get fully on? Loved his part.

Will there ever be a video to feature more people tugging at the thigh of their pants before tricks?

I certainly hope not.

Lol so many pant checks. They even edited Prod’s pant check to the gunshot of the beat. Hilarious

maybe a one for the trend alert thread, but did anyone feel like a couple of dude's - especially the ones on nike - were matching there colour ways to the spots? carlos has the blue and yellow on the outledge sskf crooks with the yellow and blue sun shades in background, and i feel like marek was matching his shoes to the colours of the spot in a few of his clips too. on the kfbsnb, for instance.

I could see Nike doing this for their next video. Making people drive to every spot with a van load of different coloured shoes

Wade and Spenny really came through here

I think Wade had the best part of the video

Spennys last switch flip and switch bs flip were just insane

I just saw this video and it was really good. I was very impressed. I love Tiago and he never ceases to blow me away, but everyone really nailed it.

I think Trent McClung has really had to over come a lot and I’m proud of him. Being from New Jersey the mcclungs in general have a bias against them. A cute wholesome appearing family from California - it’s almost impossible to have me give a hoot you exist at all but buddy you came through and I see and respect you.

Jean Baptiste had some beautiful footage and will always be a favorite of mine. The video including a little talk about jb’s injury was just a testament that Paul is a class act. Every prod clip was gold. He truly is an icon that deserves all the credit that has gone his way.

I know slap has manifested a lot of things into reality but can we manifest me fighting Miles Silvas. I have nothing against him at all. He’s an amazing skateboarder and presumably good human being, but for some reason I feel like I want to box against him. I have never boxed in my life and have no idea where this urge is coming from but I think it needs to happen.

Trent's ender was sick as fuck though cant even front on that
It would have been cool if he did an entire part of DIY stuff or spots he liberated kind of thing because i am pretty sure he is big on that stuff. at least they made it appear that way from the intro to his last primitive part. it would be cool if they hired him on as a pro partly due to his expertise in DIY / anti skate stopping etc. that would be a very cool route for teams to go if they had a SPOT MANAGER type dude!! I would LOVE TO DO THAT JOB!!

The soundtrack and editing are incredibly corny, couldn't finish it and don't remember any tricks aside from a handful of P-Rod's. That Pop Smoke song has no business being anywhere near a skate video. One of many violations.

It bothers me that I don't know how many McClung brothers there are.

What the fuck? You mean Trent isn't both the dude ripping in Define and also taking on the TM role cause I've been mentally crediting him for all that

It was a bit front heavy. The first few parts were amazing, then there's a bit of a doldrum. Tiago is just absurd. Half of his tricks look like some camera trick or CGI. The MF Doom/De La Soul track was too good.

The soundtrack and editing disconnected me from the incredible skateboarding in the video.

Their other projects felt more solid, got the feeling that Alan Hannon (who always did an amazing job) filmed less and there's a mix of different filmers.

Wade, Tiago and Ribeiro killed it btw.

I also think that everbody killed it and all the Primitive riders are probably solid dudes off the Board but I caught myself very often drifting off while watching the video. Too long? Maybe. But I think it's rather that the Filmer/Editor, although knowing his trade as such, maybe lacked a vision ... Although visually coherent, at least from my worthless point of view, the video didn't transport a "vibe". I don't know, will rewatch some parts but the video as a whole...

There’s already 10 pages of this so I’m not sure if it’s already been mentioned, but I love how P-Rod left what was basically a black hole of a company when it came to video production/output and decided to do the exact opposite.

That is true. Kind of even forgot P-Rod didn't put out a part in the Plan B Be True video as well as PJ, Colin and Danny. The only thing I ever remember from the video is Joslin's part. It's really cool to even see what P-Rod was able to do in a fairly short time and I still can't believe at the time that he was the only person willing to give Carlos Ribeiro a board sponsor.

The intro with P-Rod also sampled the hook of Apache's Jump On it, throwback to Yeah Right, along with his use of Nas' Get Down. Super pinched on his SW BS Smith too.

No one else thinks this dramatic editing is a little too much? Like the skating is otherworldly, but it just ends up being a little corny at times.

I'm all for hiphop, but a lot of the music was straight garbage lol

P-Rod and Wade were favs, and cool to see Tiago skate Oslo
[close]

I'm with you. It felt like they made a skate video for Netflix. Unbelievable skateboarding but I thought the pacing for a lot of the parts was off. In particular Taylor's and Carlos' part. The build up to the end of Carlos part was almost non-existent, and then it just ended on a trick that I personally don't think should've been his ender since I don't think he was locked in at any point.

Really like Tre Williams. He's come a long away since his Toy Machine/Dekline days.
[close]
if this video had a genre it would be "post-fullyflared"
[close]

Did feel a touch overly edited, but I'll take that over Strobeck filming any day.
[close]

There was no b-roll really, which sets it apart from baker and supreme et al.

Seems they were going for something a bit different with the slo mo and extra angles and they made it very watchable without going of the deep end into Ty evans territory

There was a ton of b-roll in this. I lost track how many times they had footage of a filmer filming a line before they cut to the actual line. So pointless. I haven't seen that many filmer BGP's ever.

Lacks end-to-end coherence (I think Habitat's Mosiac is a good example of having it), I'll skip forward and backs without watching it from the first to last minute. Too many good tricks blend together.

It's a statement to have that many good skaters with 2 song parts in 1 video, but it does feel overstuffed by the mid point. Maybe do a 2 part thing?

The b-sides must be insane too.

Frankie is the best part.

Carlos is still the best style tho. Tiago is so aggressive it’s a tough choice.

I like Trent too.

Some of that music has me not even giving the part a chance rn.
