He usually has several, probably the most of anyone on Baker if I remember correctly, now he has zero, and has been riding Violet boards for months

Seems pretty unusual he wouldn’t have at least one board in the line up, I’d imagine his boards sell pretty well. I’ve seen multiple kids at my local skate his bloards and they even skate Ventures just like him. Either way this feels like the never ending story of Kader of/on Baker.

every pro gets at least a board if not more
and there were Kader boards in the Spring23 Catalog (seen in Oct22 for peorders)
they seem to be missing on the Baker website (and it shows the current Spring 23 drop)

if this doesn't hint at him being of, what will?

Now i truly believe it is true....yeaterday on their new catalog instagram post i commented....."kader of baker?" A decent amount of people were responding to my comment so i guess that maybe stood out to them  I just realized they deleted my comment from the post this morning.
Edit-after scrolling through once more, they deleted every single comment that mentioned kader being of baker

Do teams "afford" riders anymore? I'm constantly hearing how no one earns jack shit from deck sales, so if Kader did indeed leave Baker, it might be because he wants to be a part of something new and different, where he has more input. And if it should take off, he would stand to have more to gain.

I usually don't care about team stuff like this, but this one kinda bums me out. Kader is my favorite of this younger generation and Violet just seems like a dud to me. The brand image is basically just that Lil Kim photo that anyone alive in the 90's already has burned in their brain?

Kader grew up skating with Patrick and Seven so it makes sense for him to want to be with them.

Cant blame him though, seems like everyone on baker is doing their own thing now. Not in a negative way but I think a big part of Baker image was having most of the team based in LA and skating together often.

This smaller companies seem cool and on the forefront but I picture them being a mess operationally.

You only get royalties on boards that have your name on it. If a brand is new and has poor infrastructure, then I’d imagine that less boards are hitting shops. Unless you’re getting a guarantee that offsets the volume that Baker is set up to do, then it’s gamble.
