It always surprised me a bit that some people would ride very specific trucks, given they don't make them anymore or haven't made a lot of the older versions for a long time, so it could be very limiting for them, depending on how often they need to change them out, or what they can get their hands on.
I guess there are still a fairly widely available range if you have enough money or know where to look, but the funny thing is now I think most brands actually have things covered well enough that people could get used to the current versions of whatever truck is out if they had to.
From the assortment of older Indy trucks I have, from Stage five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten, as well as the current versions, sure they all work a little differently, but at least the Stage eleven work really well on normal boards for me, with older ones only on cruisers.
Some older Thunder and Venture trucks are also best on a shelf, rather than on boards, but again that is just me.
I sometimes think that those guys on the older trucks are actually missing out on the best current trucks around, whatever the brand preference or interest.
Just a thought anyway.
