Beatrice Domond pro for FA very soon

The thing that bothers me about Beatrice is that there are women skaters who are way better than her and a lot of them haven't even gotten a sniff at being pro.

Then you go back like 20 years, and you see what women like Elissa Steamer were doing at that time. Skateboarding has progressed so much, and yet Beatrice is a pro now doing shit that wasn't impressive even 20 years ago. Elissa Steamer is now 47 years old and still a better skater than Beatrice. It just doesn't make sense.

I think I'm over the hump of expressing my problems with her status in the industry. If she is willing to looking herself in the mirror and accept the checks they are willing to give her, then that's that. There's no point in outwardly expressing criticism if she isn't receptive. It's just a net loss after that. You are wasting energy and stressing yourself typing mean shit out and the stuff she's getting online is mentally damaging.

However, she keeps posting shit defending herself and acting smug. She either truly believes she is this great skater who has earned her right to be a pro (which is delusional) or she knows she's not good enough and can't handle criticism.

The real issue here is FA making her pro, not the fact that she accepted it. Her getting defensive was just dumb and made the entire situation worse for her.

I watched her what youth and she seems very immature. I don’t know if she has the tools to deal with the level of criticism she is receiving. I feel like she must have come from a very religious background or her parents were really strict. She’s kinda sweet in a way. I hope she accepts what people have to say without letting it get to her. If I were her I would quietly move on. Maybe there is a place for her in the industry w/o being a faux pro.

It would have to come from someone on a team with her or who works in one of the brands. These negative comments, valid or not, will not do anything to change her approach. She's been rewarded by the industry for her approach so no real reason to switch it up.

You got me curious so I looked it up and watched it and noticed a random Jon Bernthal (wearing HUF weed socks) sighting @ 2:36. 



She does come across as sweet in humble in the video, which is a stark contrast to her social media persona that she has adapted recently. But that could probably be chalked up to the constant barrage of hate that she receives, regardless if it's warranted or not.

I think the main reason ppl hate dill is because aside from being a kook, he was one of the first to realize that skill and ability were secondary to hype. He sort of ruined what makes a pro skater pro in order to make more money. If it was about representation there are way better skaters out there to choose from. Would it be that hard to like, do what every other team ever has done and invite potential team members to come skate and hang w the crew and see if it was a good fit?

That's everyone's problem with her summed up. I literally can't imagine having an ego big enough to send footy to anyone at that skill level. It's literally shocking that that's all it took.
