Right now it seems like the goings-ons of this public figure, whom you've never met but is participating in an activity that you also do (albeit on a grander stage), is a huge deal. You're a skater, a female one at that, and that is a large part of your identity, so much so that you're willing to spend hours arguing with strangers about this and that, aligning with folks named slikk slikk. You're passionate about it, even if you're unfocused and don't really have a lucid point at the end of the day. I've been there, trust me. We all have. It's understandable.

But as life goes on, it throws things at you. You focus more on your actual career, you get into serious relationships, tragedies happen, you deal with bad injuries, more and more ppl you shared giggles with die, etc. You get tired, aware. You get more conscious about how others perceive you and how you present yourself. You look back at things that you once put a lot of investment in, trivial things that felt so important to you at the time, and you cringe, realizing that some of the opinions you once held on to so fiercely simply aren't that significant. You probably still feel them in your heart, but you evolve to the point where you just laugh and shake your head or make a snide remark here and there.

You hopefully also figure out who the bad guys and the good guys are, and realize that the bad guys are the ones you should be zeroing in on. There's no scandal here. Nobody's been injured. It's not that serious. This lady gets paid to ride a plank of wood around the globe. Beatrice will retire at some point and business will go on as usual. Things will continue to progress. More and more talented women, of all races, will be given their rightful place as faces of skateboarding brands old and new.

Honestly amazing this thread got to nearly 60 pages. The fact of the matter is she’s just not great at skating compared to her female peers or really any average 13 year old at the park who’s been skating for a few years .

Her attitude is more of the issue and it should be condemned no matter any profession . The second you’re in a position of notoriety in any industry and start talking trash back to the instagram haters you’ve lost.  I know there’s a lot of facets to dissect in relation to the hate Beatrice specifically whether it’s the obvious sexism or racism but for the most part the majority of the hate comments on her stuff are in regard to her lack of ability on a skateboard .

The fact that she responds with comments trying to demean people via social status like having a broken iPhone screen just shows she has bad values and other comments like how she doesn’t pay attention to skating proves she knows why she’s getting the hate but doesn’t care. She knows she sucks but someone out there is buying it so shes secure.

man, spent the half day starting to fix a car that I bought a couple months ago in which the water pump with only 35k miles on it gave out and spewed coolant all over the parking lot of the medical office where I had an appointment. Never done a timing belt and water pump before but I don't have the dough or frame of mind to pay a garage to fix it. then the washing machine that i bought last night, to replace the one that shit the bed a few weeks ago, ended up having a monster leak. Luckily I thought to strip anything of value out of the old one before tossing it into the scrap yard because I needed some of those electronics and hoses. Spent the other portion of the day taking apart this new to me washing machine, figuring out how to fix it, and putting it back together. All the while, my pretty well trained 18 month old bitch is in that adolescent return to puppy doesn't listen to a damn thing phase, going crazy every time someone walks by, hiding under the vehicles when given the come command, and whining while I'm sitting in puddles of stagnant, dirty washing machine run off water. Now that I'm done and complaining about about things on SLAP, she's curled up in a ball at my feet, quietly sleeping. I've gotta go to the shop and pick up the Joe Buffalo deck they've got for me. Her gimmick is not skating at a pro level while somehow being deemed a professional skateboarder. The industry is even in on the gimmick; how lucky for her. Every pro is so far up her ass because they want to desperately avoid being canceled even if their take is factually correct and valid.

I can almost assure you other female pros might act one way around her, and amongst themselves completely trash her or make fun of her. There's no way in the world that isn't the case because every other woman in pro (or even flow) skating puts in more work than, and are better and if any of them are a little bitter about it it's totally justified.

Tbh you see it a lot as a female in local scenes and since it's a small world you can't have an opinion on local women's skating because if any women catch wind of it all the fakie shuv bitches get mad.

I had an entire local, secret discord of skate groupie girls talking shit about me because I said there's no reason females can't just skate like a skater and be proper and stylish, you don't have to be restricted to a low tier gendered version of style or skill.

That's all it took. I hate to say it but they have zero knowledge about skating or the culture and are really more reactionary than anything, like children and skate groupies. Lucky one of my homie girl friends actually gives a shit and gets it.

Her gimmick is not skating at a pro level while somehow being deemed a professional skateboarder. The industry is even in on the gimmick; how lucky for her. Every pro is so far up her ass because they want to desperately avoid being canceled even if their take is factually correct and valid.

I can almost assure you other female pros might act one way around her, and amongst themselves completely trash her or make fun of her. There's no way in the world that isn't the case because every other woman in pro (or even flow) skating puts in more work than, and are better and if any of them are a little bitter about it it's totally justified.

Tbh you see it a lot as a female in local scenes and since it's a small world you can't have an opinion on local women's skating because if any women catch wind of it all the fakie shuv bitches get mad.

I had an entire local, secret discord of skate groupie girls talking shit about me because I said there's no reason females can't just skate like a skater and be proper and stylish, you don't have to be restricted to a low tier gendered version of style or skill.

That's all it took. I hate to say it but they have zero knowledge about skating or the culture and are really more reactionary than anything, like children and skate groupies. Lucky one of my homie girl friends actually gives a shit and gets it.

It's a little surprising it happens at the pro level but I suppose that's the macro version. Can't wait for the interviews with other women that'll pop up, and what they'll say about 10 years from now when Beatrice doesn't have the clout she has rn anymore.

Beatrice's sponsorship is Vans' vehicle into high fashion. She's been printed in Vogue, Highsnobiety, W, Nylon, etc... She's designed for Louis Vuitton for Christ's sake. You're so full of shit about me. For starters those weren't quotes out of my mouth, and I could tell you 10 female skaters better than her who I'd never talk shit about, and I think I brought up a few. My most recent post here references female skaters better than her.

Why is my take on anything less valid than all the shit talking we do about male skaters here. Sit back and reflect on that.
