My little sister made her own vans colourway on their website. It took her less than 30 minutes, you can choose between certain materials and have your name on it. What more did beatrice do ? I mean she works so hard obv, but if its not on the shoes or filming skateboarding, what is she working on ?

I’m sure speaking highly of yourself is probably a good thing but when its all kind of bull and you show no level of humility, self-awareness or irony, people judge. Hence nearly 70 pages on slap.

 To all the people propping her up, what makes her different from the other kooks who think theyre maligned gods gifts to skateboarding, andy schrock, kyro, john hill etc ? Being friends with strobeck ?

Fair enough retail fashion is a plague but lv in particular, has a owner who has become the worlds richest man hawking luxury goods in the aftermath of the largest economic crises of the 21st century. Its a symbol of the rich getting richer while throwing the rest of us out with the bathwater.

I don't really think that Ishod, AO, etc taking to the runway has been either a loss or a win for skating. I feel like it benefits the individual more than anything  however.

Having ethics or values that stop you from working with dirtbags has nothing to do with skateboarding. i had a friend who went to work for a big online fashion retailer after uni, trust me i felt way more butthurt about that than beatrice being used as a prop at louis vuitton expos.

What does it feel like to debut a brand-new silhouette? This is the first time the Zahba Mid has come to market.

It almost feels like a signature model. I had a ton of involvement with the process of getting the new silhouette just right.

Not everything is about physical labor in this world. Construction workers get to go home after work and just forget about their work - Beatrice never stops working. Constant mental labor. She's doing incredible work for the poc community and that needs to be recognized. There are a million guys who can hammer in a nail but not many young women out there courageous enough to stand up and be recognized for their effort like Beatrice.

I'm currently having a small group of very noisy construction workers remodel one of my tenant's upstairs bathrooms so forgive me if I'm a bit peeved about them right now.

Right but how much does that differ from other skaters making colorways?   I think of the story Welcome in Leeds put into every aspect of their 440 and they’re definitely not settling for whatever they get.
