I’m really struggling to get what the deal is with this alcoholic french pedo. Is it avante-garde spoken word or what? I’m not getting any musicality out of this besides drums. Please advise
I take it you don't speak French. As for the music, well if you don't hear it I guess you simply don't.
By the way, we'd be remiss to appreciate Melody Nelson without mentioning Jean-Claude Vannier. The musicality in that album is mostly his I believe. Same goes for other Gainsbourg albums. He worked with some of the best library musicians. Arthur Greenslade on the Bonnie and Clyde album for example. Also went to Jamaica to make reggae with Sly and Robbie.
