I don’t know if he did or didn’t. No opinion on it one way or another.  But, I feel like I always know it when I try to ollie something and drift off to the side instead of right over it, so I’m guessing Tyshawn would know it also.  Probably even more so being several orders of magnitude better at skating than me.

So if he in fact cheated, being haunted with the knowledge that he didn’t “really” clear it would be a far worse punishment than whatever a bunch of salty internet nerds holding up protractors and magnifying glasses to the screen and drawing diagrams could ever do.

I bet he doesn’t even know slap exists, haha.

I hope Tyshawn, or anyone, comes out and clears it clean sometime today in order to shut us all up, that would be the ultimate.

I was already thinking this would be rad anyways watching the green cans. They could green screen the can and table out entirely like yeah right and I'd still be impressed. The switch ollie really isn't even about the table for me it's the height for me that's doing it.

shouldn't

so… why is it cooler when certain people clip & it’s not when others do? tiago clipped on the way up of the nollie straight on grind on same rail & people said that made it cooler. if anyone on polar or limosine or frog or whichever is cool to people these days hits a wheel coming out of a rail or clips a stair going down a set without intention it’s “core” or “survival”. one of the absolute best skaters out does it and the internet trolls get the biggest hard on of their lives to jump on slap & talk shit about a switch ollie over a table longways when they can’t pop over a cone. reminds me of the south park episode with world of warcraft. shut the fuck up already.

imagine fucking the dog shit outta chris roberts

Tyshawn’s next part could consist of two tricks done clean and would guarantee him SOTY.

I really like how obsessive some are about this. Hopefully someone does a rendered 3d animation to show how he didn't clear the table.

Could be useful. Also be good to know wheel diameter, truck height and other variables.

I look at this table as the same level as Berra creating spots. Did he do it yes. Does it count ? Not really.

Change the the thread title to Tyshawn on some Berra level shit and slap loves him for it

Also just want to say I’m stoked fat bill didn’t film this because the footage really does show case his skating better than when fat bill films. But the table is kinda eh too me. I don’t care about the bonk. I didn’t even notice.

The ollie was huge, who cares.  The thing that shits me is these tiny picnic tables, get a full size one going or dont bother.  It's like jumping a mini and saying you can jump a bus

i find it funny how you guys praise TJ as a god for his pop/single clip part but hated big time on John Dilo for doing the same  ::)

Aint no way this part was a SOTY contending part be real now..

Edit: No he didnt clear that table. Why should we count it just because its switch? You would never count it if it was regular. Do it proper or dont do it at all

I am a fan of skateboarding when there is some sketchiness involved (other than Torey) .  Do I think TJ could clear this table perfectly? Yes.  He’s popping 1.5 feet over it.  After watching him show up to a BBQ and KF a table long ways….  I don’t put anything past him.

I prefer less Shane O’Neill and more Fred Gall.

For me, it’s how this guy just over powers tricks by a wide margin.  Plenty of people have pop but this dude pops different.

If he were in SLS that switch Ollie would get a 3.

as for the fits.  I’m 45 and found the karate kid skeleton fit solid.  I also like that he’s doing his thing skating in supreme pajamas. Better than bigboys and t-shirt cut to mid-drift steez that seems to be the rage.

The switch ollie over the barrel in blessed was fucked I never hear that talked about.

https://www.amazon.com/Traffic-Barrel-White-Orange-HDPE/dp/B007PB86HG

Shit's 41 inches tall. The Gardener Street table is like, 26 inches? It feels he had to pop around the same damn height to clear the long way. I forgot what I was going to say...

Also, I know Tyshawn swflipped the washington square park fountain. Is there another fountain that looks like it? I have like, a memory of Jordan Trahan 360 flipping it, and Doogie front 3 it, but I'm not sure where they'd be if I'm not making this shit up.

It didn’t count plain and simple, he went to the side. The reason why no one complains about a bonk from someone like Palmer is because he doesn’t claim to be some demigod who is super cocky that they are the best. On that note, you better do everything you put out fucking perfect or don’t put it out at all.. sw ollie didn’t count. End of thread

He kickflipped and then switch ollied one of those New York barriers last year and someone said that those are 46’ tall, I believe.

Don't think the highest Ollie is even 46' yet. Maybe tyshawn could put on a high Ollie comp like the new Reece Forbes.

i don't even really care about it but he didn't clear it properly and people shouldn't just let him claim it as clearing the table because it's a slippery slope to the new generation claiming all kinds of shit as a land when it wasn't legit.

I vaguely remember him and his buddy Greek Yogurt going on IG live one time shortly after the of FA announcement and reading comments in the SLAP thread haha I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure it happened. I doubt he lurks here but I’m sure someone close to him does.

People were claiming this part sealed the deal he’s SOTY. I brought up the bonk because to me it showed this part wasn’t his best footage- that bonk wasn’t a make. And I think the strategy of dumping SOTY winners dumping all their footage at the end of their SOTY run year is kinda lame. I’d personally rather see one really good part. But that’s just me.

FWIW I think the table SW ollie was a make.

I don't think people would give it this much critique if it wasn't a cover. If it was just a clip in the video then whatever

Skating is a lot more enjoyable in my opinion when you don't seek out perfection. Dude switch ollied over a picnic table long ways. I don't care if his back trick clipped the edge or if he went 3 inches to the side; that's crazy as hell.

I don’t want to be here but here I am. He didn’t clear the top and it does feel sort of weird. What I’m more focused on is why we now have 2 people who use clips over the table that they couldn’t fully clear the top. Given the caliber and the peanut gallery, I assume that’s because the table is massive and our smooth brains can’t fathom it. At least in Tyshawn’s case he went for it head on
