First and foremost, the bearings are better than Reds. They actually develop their own formulas instead of buying generic blank bearings and slapping their logo on them.
Also, Quantum is a small business from the east coast run by skaters. You mileage may vary, but I would much rather support a small business than Skate One.

You actually could if you read about them. They're material scientists. Nano and surface science stuff doesn't get you far without quantum mechanics. What differentiates their bearings is literally the quantum technology of their coating.

I hate when companies use sciency names, which is why I also initially dismissed these bearings, but this is one of the most legit uses of "quantum" I've seen
