If you like to tune out and watch it I’m not judging you but I can’t imagine any real thought or creative effort goes into any of his content aside from the blatant clickbait title he has to crap out everyday

Not sure, good question. I guess I’d say it doesn’t seem overly contrived or pretentious from my old man perspective. I like how it’s mostly about the other ppl he happens to be hanging with that day. Def wasn’t suggesting it’s anything super creative or cutting edge- it’s just easy watching and for whatever reason I tend to click

Every clickbait title could be reframed into something less egregious as to be more honest about its contents but guys like Dan are trying to cast the biggest net possible for maximum CPM. He makes videos for the lowest common denominator which is why his comment sections are filled with absolute bots. I know he makes his living off of YT but that’s gotta do something to your soul after a while, or at least it would if he was capable of self reflection or feeling shame.

I met Dan at the indoor Vans park in Orange maybe 5 years ago. He was verbally polite, but he might have tried to fuck my girlfriend if she was there. I probably wouldn't drink a beer with him or ask him to hang out after the sesh. Would definitely give him knuckles though if he did something sick.

Glad he got new chompers for his sake, dental issues really kind of fuck your life up. Could see him doing PR for a venture capital firm some day, or maybe trying to sell real estate. If that happens, then here's a preemptive "Fuck you Dan!"

Just bitching because Mitchie allegedly isn’t a “real pro” & that he tried to get his money back from the course and wasn’t able to because he felt like he didn’t learn anything so apparently that makes him a scammer. That’s as far as I made it.   Dowdy is insufferable. At least someone like Dan Corrigan has good skaters on his channel. Dowdy has nothing.

   As for Mitchie, about 6 months ago I decided to try to actually improve my mediocre skating. There's one guy at my local who has been killing it lately and he's often sort of just running reps. I asked him what he was doing and he said Skate IQ videos. I did a bunch of free ones and they were great and maybe a month ago I paid for one of the programs and it has been excellent. It's basically a few months of 30 minutes a day fundamentals. It's been excellent and I've seen real improvement, especially with manuals. I could absolutely do most of it without actually paying for the program but it's really nice to have it all in one place and all mapped out, with excellent videos and tips. It's been truly motivating and I can say with confidence that my skating has improved more in the past month than in any month of my life.

I used to mildly enjoy his DIY videos a few years ago but I unsubbed when he started vlogging with Spencer nuzzi and being the most insufferable character on skate YouTube next to Ricky glaser. Now he’s apparently trying to do gifted hater style takedown videos in the most pathetic and flaccid way possible.

One of his videos popped up recently where he attempted to articulate the arguments surrounding the Indy cross (to no avail) and halfway into his recording he realizes that Indy had blocked him on IG and it was one of the funniest and most awkward things I’ve seen. He tried to act all cool about it but he was clearly dying inside.
