Chris Cookie Coburn is low key is the goat rn.

IDK if this is unpopular but I'm sure most wouldn't put him in the class of heads I do.

And it's not that I'm down to back any old New England head which I'm prone to do.

I always back "locals"  tho for sure.

I agree. He’s probably in my top five in terms of talent and he’s a footage machine. Who else would put out a part that good for his griptape sponsor?

Exactly, the griptape/trucks/wheels sponsor videos are usually where people's throwaway footage gets used. The only other people I can think of who put out banger parts for their griptape/trucks/wheels sponsors are Louie Lopez and Mason.

I'm sure there are more but those are what came to mind. It's definitely not common.

Modern day footage I’d say Cyrus has a more standout kickflip and fs flip than anyone including Reynolds (flame me to hell). Obviously not the same type of skating like Reynolds/decenzo/Penny doing it down stairs but as far as style goes

i agree, there is something kind of cool about rollerblading in a way, zooming around in boots with wheels, jumping around and sliding on stuff, it’s kind of futuristic.

Skaters who are still upset about rollerbladers in 2023 are just sore winners. Skateboarding completely and totally won the fight to become the premier “xtreme” sport. We got the big brands, the celebrity skaters, the Olympics, everything. We salted the earth over rollerblading.

The battle is long over. Let them blade in peace.

There's a small but dedicated rollerblading community around here and I back them. Most of them have decent park etiquette and don't overwax stuff, and a handful of them have even contributed more to our DIY parks than some of the skaters that like to show up and whine about imperfections.

Same at my local park. They're all super nice, really good about not snaking skaters, and they're not risky if they do hit you unlike a BMX bike. They also mostly stick to a few things that people rarely skate.

Hill bombing in rollerblades sounds absolutely batshit considering that the options to check your speed are somewhat limited.

Saw a video of someone with these types of skates just mashing shit and doing wallies super fast. Pretty cool but whenever I see rollerbladers dressed like this I just hear this in my head

Oh absolutely, they show up at parks here and they’re good people. I was just surprised I found the video engaging. At one point this dude was skating an18 (or so) stair rail and for whatever reason jumped like halfway down the stairs before landing on the rail. Like why air out that far? I don’t know how he didn’t get wrecked. It was fucking bonkers. I might even watch more.
