I tried some of his techniques for getting over fear in skateboarding and they worked. I wasn’t aware that I was supposed to be sending him money.

They will never make decks last longer. Planned obsolescence is too good for business.

I mean, it's wood that's whole job is being stomped on and scraped on concrete, not much planning goes into that obsolescence.
Also, a lot of folks in the core scene relentlessly mock any company that tries to implement new technologies.

Either way, the VX deck I just swapped out lasted close to 3x longer than standard decks last me.

I went through a vx/ carbon fiber board phase for awhile and I loved them but there were definitely cons. They’re considerably more expensive, less options in terms of shape and size, shinners hurt like 3x more than a normal deck, and carbon fiber splinters fucking suck. When the board razors down it becomes a flying knife but I’m guilted in to skating it longer than I should because I spent more money on it.

I like the Canada dry bold it has that ginger taste but it's hard to find where I'm at, I'll have to switch to seagrams.  I just had my first Reeds NA ginger beer and it is my new favorite beverage
