Skateboarding is in an awesome place overall and the people that complain about it being boring/too trendy just spend too much time consuming skate content.

I agree, but I think it’s less about over-consumption of media and more about gatekeeping and nostalgia.

i generally like the flavor more, and holds up to being made spicy... but the soft boiled egg is my favorite part of a ramen bowl and pho generally doesn't come with egg

Korean Tofu Soup FTW. Comes with 1 or more eggs and is appropriately sized so you don't hate yourself after as a bonus.

yeah i dont fuck with the bean sprouts (really just want the lime and basil) and think of pho as a cheaper soup than ramen. But 10-12 bucks for a bowl big enough to put your head in is the move sometimes.

but luckily i can have nuanced opinions and want different dishes at different times

Yeah Ramen vs Pho is like comparing a La Croix and an energy drink……

Over time I’ve learned to appreciate pho as something I can eat more regularly and all the sides and condiments…

I like both. the ceiling for ramen is higher but the average for pho is higher. So kind of a tie.

Udon comes in third in both ceiling and average.
