Yeah I ride 60s cause most of the spots I skate are nowhere near perfect. I read somewhere that Freddy was pushing 68s in the 90s. That’s sick.

Maybe if you’re mostly skating parks or live in a place without seasons. I’m in New England and can’t go much smaller than 54 unless it’s a super wide wheel. The street spots out here are pretty rough. The only people I see skating sub 54 don’t leave skateparks or they’re old heads that use dragon wheels (would that also be considered cheating?).

Josh Kalis' indoor granite park looks cramped and a pain in the ass to skate.


I love the concept and love Kalis and really, really want that park to be awesome but in almost every piece of footage it seems like whomever is skating is struggling to deal with how close together the obstacles are. It's like they are making the best out of a tough situation.

That really does look cramped. But I’d still be stoked as hell to try stuff.

It’s easily possible but way smoother to ride a larger wheel. To each their own but if I can save a push and not have my knees rattling from cracks and brick I’ll skate a 54-56. That being said if the added challenge is exciting and makes it more fun more power to you . I just wouldn’t call it cheating to ride a larger wheel on rougher ground

“Arguing” about wheel size is completely asinine. First of all, who cares what size wheels or decks other people skate? What could affect you less? Secondly, the difference between 53 and 56mm wheels is completely negligible - 1.5mm in height. If you are remotely talented at skateboarding it should take you about three ollies before you have accumulated to wheel size.

and speaking of dick size, what’s the deal with everyone being over particular about their shoes being TTS or having to swap out the insoles?  I’ve never met a size 7 that didn’t fit my feet. guess I’m lucky

Honeycrisps are the most basic bitch apple. They’re too sweet and apples for people who just want candy. The best apples have an equal balance of sweet and tart. I’ve been fuckin with the heirloom apples now that i work in produce at a grocery store. They’re as cheap if not cheaper than all those overly sweet engineered apples.
