I was looking into this topic (luckily not for myself, just out of curiosity) and it looks like even the high-end veneers last about 10 years max? So basically if you go that route and get your whole mouth done, you’re paying upwards of 20k every decade? Someone tell me if I’m wrong but that’s so brutal.

My barber, three or four years ago, went for the full re-do. Impants top to bottom. Everything out, implants in.
He got referred to some vegas dude who is supposed to be really good, but got a deal through a hookup.

I went to the clinic of Dr. Marcos Cavallini. It’s in San Jose, Costa Rica. This particular place has their own lodging at the clinic and they pick you up from the airport. They’re open year round except a few weeks around Christmas.

There are dozens of other places in San Jose as well if you want to look into other options. The prices are more or less the same wherever you go. I would definitely recommend going somewhere that has on site lodging. That was a big convenience.

There’s some good skate spots throughout the city if you care to bring your board.

I needed a root canal and a crown or the tooth pulled and an implant for a molar. Dentist said 2-4 grand for the root canal option 4-6 for the implant option. I ended going to Costa Rica and got the implant put in for less than 2k included my flight and lodging.

Most of the people getting their entire mouth replaced said they were getting quotes of anywhere from 40 to 80,000 for full implants in the US. They were getting the same work done in Costa Rica for $15,000.

If anyone needs extensive dental work look into CR.

Just had all mine fixed for 10k. Didn’t learn to brush my teeth until I was well into my twenties. I am 29 now. My teeth were FUBAR, one of my front tooth fell off right before I started dental work. Way way worse than Dan’s. Took three months to fix.

I got all my teeth pulled and a new set of chompers courtesy of the state of Indiana. That's one good thing about being poor in my state I guess lol. The insurance is full coverage.

Yes, the majority of the time unless I was out late partying with the boys, then I might skip a brushing overnight. The main thing that I lacked was consistent flossing to prevent plaque from forming. It can be annoying to start but once you have a routine down you can knock it out in 5-10mins.

I also forgot to mention that I keep a set of all of this stuff in my office (except the waterpik) and after I eat lunch I take some time to go-between/floss/brush after lunch so for the two days I go into the office to work a week I get it done as well.

Back then I would only brush my teeth in the morning and maybe flossed like a few times a month. Occasionally, I would brush before bed but it wasn’t the norm. Mostly when I knew a lady friend was coming over.

More like 4-6k per tooth for implants.  I just found out I need several.  Im luckily getting mine done at a dental school, so I’m just paying for cost of materials, and a discounted rate at that, and it’s something like $450 per crown, 600 for the implant, and like another 300 for the screw.
