There is an ipath japan tour video that was on their website as a quicktime file before youtube even was a thing. sunday morning by the velvet underground was the song - would love to watch that again.

Theres also this new-jersey-nobody video that had a rap beat that sampled sounds of the rainforest or some jungle sounds I have never been able to re-find. I wanna say it was from that nj scum channel.

I was given a free download code on iTunes around the time this dropped for some reason, but taking off the DRM would likely prove to be a pain in the ass.

there was a website a while back called Shred or Die, and this one guy, i think his name was logan kincaide or austin kincaid, but he had a vlog webseries involving mostly toy machine riders. there was one particular video of leo romero that had a really amazing line in it and its pretty much gone. it was so fast and really clean. it was around the time he became SOTY. he had so much good stuff in that series and its all basically gone.

the bootleg of heaths part in stay gold, the premiere cam footage was really awesome, the energy of it, everyone cheered for every trick, really fun to watch but my harddrive got fried

Honestly it might be in my list of top-5 video parts of all time. As a huge Prince fan and a fan of Koston in that era, that edit ticked all the right boxes for me. I have it saved to my computer (and also have the DVD but haven’t watched one of those in ten years), but there’s no reason to even attempt to upload it anywhere. Every time I’ve tried the song gets copyright struck.

There was a Josh Matthews part for Organika where he skates to Warren Zevon that I think has essentially been stripped from the internet I've wanted to watch a couple times but can never refind.

I've found it on places that aren't YouTube, but it is annoying how difficult it's become to find Dennis Durant's Adidas part. Some other sections/parts I really like that can be a nightmare to find due to music issues are the Friends/Blind section in Virtual Reality (Beatles song), Daewon's New World Order part (De La Soul song) and Carroll's FTC Finally part (De La Soul song again).

While I hate parts disappearing from easy access online. A part that pretty much won someone skater of the year in an era where people are winning it primarily off online parts should never be scrubbed especially if originally put out by Thrasher. While I hate I can't watch Carroll's FTC Finally part (a big part of him winning SOTY) without booting up a .iso on a hard drive I have laying around, I at least understand it's a shop video from 1993 that would have no idea about the issues music rights for streaming of online content would create (hell, De La Soul's music itself was held in online purgatory for ages, forget about a video part).

Similar to video games for outdated consoles, it sucks skate videos even iconic parts the preservation of them is entirely down to the passionate community. Like, yes, I thank all the people who either build up catalog's of .iso's or I guess now just download any part they love off Youtube rippers to preserve, but I would hope there was more being done by industry gate keepers to try to preserve these things. I get skateboarding video parts have serious issues from a music rights issue, but the fact Wes's part got taken off is absolutely ridiculous.
