Just ordered the phocus g6, liked the look of the grey ones and I really loved the Reynolds’s g6 and it sorta reminded me of it in a roundabout way. Guess we will see. I do love the wu gazi track in the edit.

Emerica simp alert.  If you like thin cupsoles then give the Romero a go
[close]

The last pair of these i had absolutely tore my achilles to shreds because the heel curved into my tendon with barely any padding, has that been updated?
[close]

Me too. Those were totally unwearable for that reason. Hope they fixed that because I really like the silhouette of that shoe.
The updated version has similar heel padding as the Jon Dickson shoe, but it doesn’t come out until the fall or winter drop of this year.

I never had that problem but if I did that would be a deal breaker I hate that shit.  Like chronicbackpain said they've updated both the shiny versions with the one lace and the regular ones as well.  I like the look of the new skater ones but I don't think I can pull off silver shoes....

The grey ones are the best looking ones yet I'd say.  Please post a pic of them on feet looking down if you can haha. They almost have me with the grey color way.

I'm interested in the OG-1, how is the white pair treating ya @Cesspool86 ? Fit, grip, etc.

Doing my best to not buy any new skate shoes in 2023 and so far I've only broken the rule once. I may break it again for these MJs

I haven't actually skated them yet I've just worn them around and they feel great. I did half size down as most advised.  They do feel surprisingly light for how big they are.  There's a ksl next to it for comparison both size nine

Came shockingly fast, I’m on the east coast and the tracking initially said July 5th. Saw these on my doorstep when I got home from work.

Felt surprisingly great out the box. TTS. Light weight.
Not as grippy as my half cab skates and doesn’t seem quite as cushioned. Flick feels super good though. Got about an hour of flat today because I’m trying to break them in before vacation in a few weeks.

Hows the grip compare to pour in G6 cupsole like the KSL has?

Yes, we’ve got a 20 years of TIS collection dropping in August consisting of the KSL, Romero Laced, and Slip-On as well as a full apparel capsule.

@EmericaTM Since you've mentioned reducing production of the Wino G6 slip cup, are there any talks of doing a Wino slip cup with something like the Laced or Gamma cupsole in the future?

I've been skating a pair of the Dickson as my first pair of emerica ever which is crazy because this is skateboarding was an everyday ritual before going to skate in 04. I love them. The shape of the toe along with the rubber make my flip tricks feel and look better than any other shoe I've ever skated. And the G6 insole is amazing. The quality of the suede is good and the inner heal lock makes the shoe fit secure. I think I'm going to buy a few more pairs.

Well dropping Holiday is the Romero Skater which is essentially a slip-on of the Laced so it will have the same sole. Regarding that Formula G outsole that is on the Gamma, before the slip-cup came out, we sampled a slip-on with the Formula G outsole and it just didn't look right. Definitely better with the Pour-In G6 midsole.

I do have one question. Has the original Gamma been considered as a retro shoe? I know the current Gamma is somewhat similar to the original, but there are still some slight differences (mainly outsole). I know Etnies still uses a very similar outsole on their Kingpin to the original.
