It's still crazy to me that Emerica had Spanky teasing his hightops for years, and when they finally dropped they weren't on the sole that everyone loved and they barely stayed in the line for a single year. I really wanted a pair of those but I feel like I can't justify buying a shoe I know I won't be able to skate again.

Yeah, it was a lot of hype for 3 or 4 colorways, but they could have sold well on looks alone, even after axing the G6 sole.

because on top of more cost per unit (since emerica ain’t ordering as many shoes as nb), they are also paying a pro on top of that. Price makes sense but obviously prob won’t be as good as a 440

Sole tech has probably had the crazy price creep. I think all their shoes average a 90$ msrp. Emerica manages too still keep sum sub 80 shoes in the mix somehow. I know the economy and inflation and yada yada yada, but as a schmuck, I think staples like the accel or the sal, shoes you want people to buy skate repeat, should not be fucking $95.

anyway, I like the stiching and the sillouette of the SP3, just not the logo, so i made this mockup just so i could see for myself how it'd look



and while I like this better, still may give them a shot, I've bought hours, and LRAB, but I haven't skated anything but nike, adidas, and now puma in like 2 years

I did have that small text logo idea too, but couldn’t find one to impose and didn’t want to waste too much time into this. Im sure emerica and Spanky probably probably had this ideas too since it’s a clearly a club

As some one who finds the dunk 11 slightly snug, but fine after a few days and the the and a 11 1/2 way too big. How would you compare the mute sizing.

Sole techs sizing is never consistent for me.

I have the leather Mutes in a 12. I also have SB Dunks in 12, as well as 11.5. I wouldn't go 11.5 in Mutes, but I would consider 11.5 for Dunks after trying 11.5 and 12. The Mutes feel perfectly snug to me and will feel even better once I break them in. The Mutes feel slightly more snug than Dunks since they have more overlapping layers across the whole shoe.

I oscillate between 11.5 and 12 depending on brand & materials, FYI. Sizing: My rule of thumb for soletech cupsoles is to err on them needing a 0.5 up just to be safe. It's easier to make it work over a size that's too small, personally.

All Spanky Hi models SHOULD have the KSL G6 outsole, but they will have a different foam midsole. No G6 foam midsole. The blue/black will have the correct outsole like the Lotties & Black/White pairs do from what I've seen/heard. Not sure why they're fucking up by using the prior sample product shots, which had the Figgy Dose outsole 

The action shots of Spanky and footage in the blue color show it's the KSL G6 outsole

 I held a black/white pair in hand and they're noticeably lighter feeling with a different foam compared to KSL G6.

The old TM said they might being it back for special editions of things like the Wino slip cup and one-off models, but they'd make it super clear if a shoe has it. So if you don't see it specifically called out, it doesn't have it.
