I have Hoban G6 Cup slip-ons for casual shoes. They have BH initials on the side (makes sense) but also a big "G" on the back heel. What does that "G" stand for? Is it "G6"?
[close]
I have a pair of these plus one on ice, my dude. Loved this cw and the slip cup is legendary! That said I also never knew what the G signified, and my assumption was the same as yours.
[close]
His bro style bob dylan clone friends call him "G."

I don't recall where I got this from but I am sure this is 100% true.
[close]
Braden loves putting it on his gear.

He is most certainly not a “G”. Why does he or his friends think that?

I think those bearings settle it if they are real. I had no idea and didn’t buy the shoes (or anything) because of a name printed on it. I just wanted some slip on cupsoles and those were the best color and priced ones at the time I was looking. I definitely like them and now I know what all the letters plastered around it mean.

Yes, Braden Hoban calls everyone ‘My G,’ and he loves slasher movies hence the Halloween font.

Looks like the EE is actually coming back, sample round 2? I wonder if its still emerica or maybe HRS or hours is yours? Regardless super stoked and will definitely stock up especially if they do any two toned colorways
[close]

gonna be hard to resist a two tone

Is HRS still a thing? It feels like they're just selling deadstock. Everything on their site is on sale (some buy one, get one items). And it feels like they're pushing it a lot less on IG and taking longer and longer breaks between posts / releases and I used to really keep up with them.

can confirm that they are coming out LATER THIS YEAR, not speculating shit, i've been having some quick conversations with mr. Ellington recently and he confirmed that they are coming out this year and he even asked for my input on wich were my favorite colorways wich honestly made me shed a tear of joy.
Erik Ellington is one of the GOATS and i feel truly honored that he takes the time to actually listen, no one does.

The grey with red toe were my dream as a kid.
Would totally buy it even more now that I know that they won't be Emerica

I can confirm that they are not an Emerica reissue. I saw the tooling wood molds while visiting the mold shop in China a few weeks ago. I don't know if they are through HRS, or if Ellington is doing an eponymous side project. The only branding I saw was the double E logo that was used on the original Emerica shoe, and the name 'Ellington'. The outsole design is slightly different from the original.

Whatever it is, maybe like 2 people are gonna buy them to skate at the likely ridiculously high price tag. Gonna bet they will be $180-200. Nostalga is good, but they're pretty ugly through today's lens.
Did ya'll see how huge they look on that clip of Ellington at Bakerboys?

Shoulda been an etnies shoe, would look better with the Etnies E on the side.

They're definitely not the kind of shoe that looks good with a bit of wear from skating either.

I think it would be smart if Ellington releases this shoe with hours. I think hours can potentially be a good "new" core shoe brand to replace the hole Emerica created. The g-code and the Ellington classic shoes reissued, affordable, no big fancy team/ads/trips/etc.

To those of you that have the Mute. How big of a tongue are we talking there? Looks kinda huge and puffy to me but I am not sure. I prefer kinda slimmer tongues. Not Vans Old Skool slim but also not early 2000s puffy. Kinda in between.

you will get exactly what you're looking for in the tongue. it's not too thick or thin, right in the middle.

When I get planted in them they'll bloom into the glorious original gray and red EEs and my reincarnate will switch flip out the tomb and big spin front board back to hell as a "getting fucked up tonight!!!!" is heard across the land but actually fucked up wasn't had

Until then, barring a reissue or paying hundreds/thousands on eBay, it's the best I can do  :'(

Really? Man, all the photos make the shoe seem bulky and a bit too much padded. Guess I have to look at them in reality.
