Any more episodes we can anticipate in the near future? Feel like he covered all that were in the initial trailer at this point
he was saying he will be covering some east coast spots as well soon

Yeah, it seems like this show is a hit and Thrasher is obviously trying to focus on expanding their content beyond "here are some people skating with music behind them", so I expect this will continue for a while.

Great as always! As much as a kook I think Biebel is, I was surprised not to see any tricks from him in there. He's definitely done some incredible stuff there.

Really great series. It’s amazing how engaging something is when the presenter is actually intelligent and not some fried old skater / idiot youtuber. Really loved the in depth architectural discussion for the EMB ep.

Loved it. Drake Jones had so many sick clips at that spot.

Too much sick stuff has been done at Pier 7 over the years to include it all but I also thought of Busenitz's wild lines in Chicagof (I think).

Also, a missed opportunity to include this little snippet from Thrasher

Jorts
Anklets
Rat tails
Sling shots
Toe rings
Shuv it tail grabs
Jump ramps

I can only say that I wish they were longer, like, at least 15 minutes. They're so great and punchy, but they could be drawn out and it wouldn't take away from how good they are.

Skate content of the year. I just want more skate docs, informational and historical pieces. Actual skate parts are only sometimes the exciting content these days. Info will always be exciting!

Love me a nice well-spoken skateboarder. I recall him losing his job a couple years back due to his instagram (I think?) so it would be really dope for him to continue getting that thrasher bag. How many other skaters have PhD's? Only other one I can think of rn is Ocean Howell

Things have really turned around for ted since that whole incident. I’m on his berate the birds patreon and it seems like he’s doing quite well both personally and career wise

I haven’t been looking forward to work recently because I just been getting chewed out by my supervisors constantly, been busy with with life recently so I haven’t been skating much so when I do manage to squeeze in a quick sesh I suck and I feel rusty as hell on my board, I recently found out I gained ten pounds so I feel like a fat piece of shit…… This series is the only thing that I have to forward to these days that make life suck slightly less. Thank you Ted.

This one was super good. It seems like this series is getting 100K+ views on the Thrasher channel for the past episodes, more than some recently released parts and stuff. Everyone on the forum is hyped, all comments on YouTube are positive, keep this series going. Fly a filmer with Ted somewhere and get them per diem.

Thrasher mag, if you're lurking here like we all know you are, please send Ted on a 1 month skate trip to Barcelona so we can get the scoop on MACBA, Sants and Paral-lel.

Do people think Ted is pretentious because he doesn't say gnarly or sick every 2nd word or what? To me, he seems to walk the line of being well-spoken without being verbose quite well.

I dunno. It's probably not even worth bringing up since those people seem to be the minority in the thread.

Keep em coming I'm loving the series.

Gotta echo everyone and add that I really love this series. Super curious what’s next and I imagine with Ted’s knowledge of spots in New York and his experience as a historical city tour guide that the aforementioned “east coast episodes” will be juicy

Goddamn that big group photo is fucking good. Anyone know who shot it? I would kill for a Dennis McGrath Pier 7 book. A comprehensive Pier 7 photo/video exhibition would be amazing. SFMoMA, MACBA, C/O Berlin; easy peasy.

Such a dream spot. Parks all over the world have a mandatory “pier 7” manny pad, and I never get bored of them.

This series rules.

I loved feeback ts's art history deep dives and this is what I find so endearing about this.

Ted has a really interesting way of setting out the artists vision for the space, socio-political factors that influenced the space and how skaters interacted with the space and how the space affected skate culture. Simple, informative and interesting to go outside the bounds of "Yeah man, you would get kicked out super fast".

As pretty much everyone else here has said, bravo Ted Barrow.

He should have a big voice in skateboarding going forward.

Send him to Europe.

I like that it isn’t a trick roll call video (but I do wish there was a companion part that was a best of by Memory Screen or manolo)

A friend of mine met him at the Venice curbs and said that he was nice but also very out there and seemed perma-fried. Said he wasn’t skating but just watching and rambling about random stuff.
