It will be nearly four years since people started to predict a return of slimmer fitting pants. From my own experience, I see nothing but baggy jeans at the local. Am I alone? Will 2024 finally be the year?
its happening, but slowly. medium-wide bootcut has been creeping in more and more, look at donovan wildfong and fashionable guys like that. first we need to work through the slighty sagged big belt y2k-2005 look.

there’s been a lot of pump fakes the last couple years as far as what the Next Big thing is going to be. it was supposed to be d3s and early 00s fashion but it never took off
I'm starting to realize the Tompkins Sq park is not the epicenter of skate fashion because those kids are skating DVS reissues and iPaths half the time

Yup.  In LA every fashionista wants to look like 80s midwestern trailer trash.  Mullets, cigarettes, boot cut jeans, tucked in shirts, big belt buckles, Budweiser, cowboy hats, and cowboy boots.

I’ll fuckin pass on all that

It seems to me that kickers, bumps, banks and so on are getting really popular

So Austin, TX 14 years ago...as it applies to LA, sounds like the East Side.

I think once you dial in a longer WB, tricks look and feel better. Just takes  bit more effort.

This happened in LA and PHX in the 00's when bootcut jeans were popular and there was that weird trucker hat phase.

thrift is also a good option especially if you come across vintage tommy hilfiger

gonna also add that for any ebay heads you can find some pretty nice hilfiger jeans on ebay for a fraction of the price of skate company jeans coming out today. they’ve been almost strictly the only jeans i wear for a few years now

I also wear a lot of vintage Tommy Hilfiger but I find their jeans very stiff for skateboarding, really good quality tho. My favorite are the Freedom jeans.
