I kinda admire Plunkett, he says and does the things a lot of us are thinking.
Oh good: I'm glad we're not the only people thinking "Fuck this Brad Staba dude!"  ;)

Also, it feels oddly uncomfortable to find myself in agreement w/ this dood Jinn, but here we are...
I buy a damn board he good and he fucked with Richie Jackson made that sucka cry about fisheyes and follower numbers and damn broke that rip and dip ice
Thingy. Dan a fucking G.
I can't really argue w/ that.

To me, Swim now feels like the most refreshing brand to come along since There, or the Heated Wheel.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

Still funny after all this time, but after seeing this, I've gotta ask: are "we" conflating a Plunkett w/ a Rizzo in this case?

reminds me of erowid experiences

ha that's what I thought of too, except the old TOTSE board and the Bad Ideas thread. although I did read plenty of erowid back in the day as a teen desperate to feel new things.

Terp has some tricks up.   Skating faster than I remember.   Really fascinated to know what happened to him while on FA when he seemed to disappear off the board

Stoked for the possibility of new Kevin Terpening footage.
Sidenote- that PlayGirl Van driving by at 3:35 belonged to a guy I knew in NYC and it always got a big reaction. I borrowed it once and a homophobic guy on the street threatened to kill me. Memories.

Is skate mental officially done? Who even rides for em, kellen doesn’t tag em anymore and jack Curtin and nando took em off their bio

Jack deserves so much better. I wish he was on a DLX brand but they are all tapped out. If he’s not getting paid a ton from his board sponsor, I’d like to see him on Western Edition….or even GX1000 would be dope.

Did he leave for Expedition at any point?

In my books this is THE Dan Plunkett part.

that part is so sick. i really thought that it would be a part people would remember ten years later when it first came out. but i was wrong. but thanks for posting it. its really good and a cool edit.

lets see how long this brand will last. both of them are pretty much done as major pro skaters, but it could be a cool little side project. I wish them the best.

i like the working man’s skate company. just wish metal and swim were the same thing.

they should join and call it shipwreck distribution, do a jenkemmag storage unit tour (not warehouse, remember they're working class) and be like "yo dude, this is shipwreck distribution. anyway yall gotta get outta here cuz i gotta drive to my 9 to 5 here in a minute", tell a funny story or two of how the idea came from a genius slap pal (aka me), film a cuppla piv fakies and slappies, tease a rustbelt tour and watch those sales skyrocket.

if they end up doing this they should hire me. terps/fred, you can pay me in 8.5 decks

Rode my buddy's 8.25. Board felt great but shape was too square for my liking. I back it though.

Does anyone here remember a part (i think for sm) where Plunkett skated to Zombie, by the Cranberries? I think it got scrubbed from youtube but i used to watch that all the time to get stoked to skate. I wish it was still around. Felt like his best part to me.
