On a long enough timeline Dyrdek and the city of Philly both do things to further put distance from themselves and skateboarding.

That's a lot of scratch. The Christie's site says it's shooting for a mill to a mill and a half.

Okay, the original ones were 12 fr. tall, this is 8. Not bad. The original ones have gone for $4 mil.

yeah, I dont expect children to understand the excitement of buying a park sign on a auction live stream either. but Rob was happy about it and wanted to share the moment with them, even if they don't get it.

anyway, I wonder what other types would be interested in paying almost a 1mil for that sculpture. I remember a kalis interview saying something like he bought 4 original love prints to hang in his crib for like 100 ea in the 90s, and sold them for 1000's of dollars, later.

Holy shit it isn't even the sculpture that was in LOVE Park. It is literally 1 of 7 reproductions made in 1999!
Dyrdek can collect any artworks he wants, but he didn't just buy the actual LOVE Park sculpture for a mil. It's fucking authorized replica!
