Alright, check this out. Imagine Dewayne "Steezus Christ" McMurry, fresh outta the park, standing at the edge of a street corner with a grin that could light up the whole block. He takes a second to breathe, lets the vibe hit him, and then starts laying it down.

"Yo, yo, listen up. I'm Steezus Christ, and I ain't out here just pushin' wood—I’m carvin' my name into history. You ever seen someone flip a board like it’s an extension of their soul? Nah you ain’t. 'Cause I’m not just skating—I’m transforming the streets into my personal canvas. Every trick, every grind, it’s like I’m writing a new chapter in the Book of Steez, and trust, the world ain't ready for what I’m about to drop.

I’m coming straight from the bottom, putting in work—getting my feet wet on the cracked sidewalks, sliding across these city rails like it’s nothing. But that’s the grind, right? That’s the hustle. It’s about perseverance It's about vision. You wanna see style? You wanna see creativity that bends physics? You want to see the future of skateboarding? You better watch me.

The pros out there? Respect. But they ain’t me. I’m not just a skater—I’m a revolution on four wheels. I’m out here to redefine what’s possible, break down limits, and take this sport to places you ain’t even thought of. This ain’t about fame. This ain’t about the money. It’s about one thing: legacy.

Can someone in the know explain this whole Trader Joe's thing that Steezus Christ has going on? He posts videos of himself buying groceries at Trader Joe's? Is he paid by Trader Joe's for this?

Can someone in the know explain this whole Trader Joe's thing that Steezus Christ has going on? He posts videos of himself buying groceries at Trader Joe's? Is he paid by Trader Joe's for this?

There's a genre called "haul videos" that gained popularity around 2006/2007 from the beauty vlogging community. A haul video is a video where someone shows off their recent purchases and sometimes discusses the shopping experience. A haul video can include clothing, makeup, books, games, electronics, jewelry, or household items.

When Steezus got laid off by The Nine Club Experience, he started to more actively post on TikTok. Short edits of him cleaning his apartment, working out, or running errands like grocery shopping. In one post he was shopping in Trader Joe's, and many of his followers were like "Oooh show us what you got!" So he started making Trader Joe's hauls, a popular subgenre of haul videos. And then the TikTok algorithm got hold of his hauls and he started to blow up. The sad thing is he didn't even like the food all that much (as a gym bro he normally tries to eat really healthy and was instead ending up buying a lot of junk food/snacks to keep things interesting for his audience), but just felt obligated to keep going because he was getting some traction with TikTok. He got burnt out making the hauls and felt that he was kind of being "fake." Trader Joe's also straight up turned him down on any type of endorsement/sponsorship deal when his management team reached out, but Trader Joe's doesn't officially collaborate with any influencers so I don't see why he took that so hard. He felt like he was helping Trader Joe's make money while he was getting nothing in return. So then he stopped making the haul videos and as a result fell out of favor with the TikTok algorithm. He started losing followers but was OK with that because he felt like he was now being his true self. When it became more certain that TikTok was gonna shut down in the U.S., he made "one last trip" for his fans - https://www.tiktok.com/@steezusshuttlesworth/video/7459611214495239466

Fuck this is depressing. Just find something of worth and dedicate your mortal time towards something of value. Not everyone has to be a ‘star’, it’s like people have forgotten that a life is how you spend it, and if it’s unpacking shit to try and get free shit, what the fuck are you doing?

Its the Big Dewayneski and where the two Dewayneskis meet for the first time and the Big Dewayneski is like 'Are you employed sir?' and 'Your "revolution" is over, Mr. Dewayneski! Condolences!  The bums lost!'

I laughed about that for a bit
Is it true?  Or did you read it on the slap message board?

I watched it and I laughed when he hung his head a little saying he likes to dip dried apples in applesauce, “I don’t know what to tell you.”

The rubberneck in me had my interest pinged by a little catch up with steezus. I watched his "last" tik tok video and man, it's a real testament to how social media fucks people up.
The guy has devoted his life to meaninglessness. It's incredible how non-sensical and shallow he sounds.

If you read this Steezus, delete all your social media apps, go outside and meet real people, get a real job and feel real things like love, pain, laughter, boredom... Oh, and start reading books.

I don't really want to watch the whole day in the life video, but can anyone timestamp the part where he looks for a 9 to 5 job?
