The bunt was most exciting moment in recent slap with the go fund me. Tracer was a jerk but he drove engagement. no one is basically the king of canceling and he's neuroatypical, why'd he even get banned? Mods don't understand but you need the bad guy so you can say look at him, he's not like us. Sneaky had an interesting mind and started some crazy topics. I'm not sure what cheetahsheets did but he was funny too.

the bunt was awful because anyone with common sense knew from day one nothing was gonna come of it, cheetahsheets would post 10 massive diatribes about himself in a row and make every thread go off topic with how fucking self obsessed he was, something about sneaky always felt a little off to me, and i think no one deserved to get banned for the same reason cheetahsheets did but i'll say the no one paranoia around this place is a little much at this point

The queer skaters talking about queer shit thread began just four years ago this week. Two homophobic posters since summer, that I’m aware of, wandered in and started “asking questions” and making insulting remarks, so the progress around here is plenty slow. Slap isn’t a hive mind; it’s like any other corner of human existence - like finds like.

Anyway, on topic:
I don’t think I miss any recently banned people and plenty come back under other aliases. Remember that VersaceKid (he never deserved the sacredness of that number!) has another account through which he outed himself. Haha! But I tend to float in and out of threads vs trynna start constant fires or death matches or whatever.

I more miss the people that walked away one day and clearly never came back.

May be a bit of a sensitive topic. Growing up in a smaller sized midwestern city (80k population) I was one of 3 black kids who skated. The other two stopped around 16, and now I'm the only one. We have 3 abysmal parks, I go to the couple popular spots but it's all white kids.

On a personal level as an older black dude what really annoys the shit out of me is when people throw the word around
when referring to white people or someone who isn't black.  Gary did this on Skateline when he went to some contest in europe and kept calling white kids the n-word...and I hate that shit because the kids might think its okay for them to refer to themselves as such or that its okay for them to say the word

The Nword is not a class thing...dumbest shit I ever heard, I have family members who grew up in the projects that don't use that word...I know white/ Mexican/ Asian kids who grew up in the hood that do and dont use that word, the ones that don't have some self respect. Don't try to act like they say it on some being poor community hip hop shit, its honestly some ignorant bullshit way of trying to be cool...you know the word commonly as poser in skating.  Im not got gonna flat out attack a poser but you get the vibe when someones faking the funk or perpetrating

I think its crazy how you assume what is "black"  and that black vernacular is an actual thing. 
I never heard of poor Caucasian vernacular or poor Asian vernacular, to me its a fucked up how some people assume that a handfull entertainers control the verbiage of what is considered black speech communication. 

Also imitating what one assumes is black is highly problematic IMO, I never speak about black people like were some monolith, we have some common struggles, but there isn't anything you can point to and say that's what defines a black person or anyone of color for that matter.   The Fat Joe discussion has been ongoing, but a lot of people in hip hop don't fuck with him or Cypress Hill for those reasons.

I look down on rap culture so far be it from me to use the term but I see my younger neighbors doing it. You can be poor and have class like you can be rich and lack it but I do see it more in poorer areas. If ebt says it to himself it probably has more to do with raps ubiquity than insecurities. Nowadays there's a push to make it offensive but when me and fat Joe came up it was just slang. And nobody was pissed at cypress hill in the 90s for that. Cube had his own reasons.
