I'm sick of clips using grates/tiles propped up as kickers. Was cool at first but it's so overdone now and sometimes it changes the spot so much it's a bit Steve Berra-ish

These days mostly at skateparks but I skate street at least a few times month. I don't hate propping the stuff up altogether I'm just tired of seeing it in every other video

I don’t think slap has ever been the target demo for skateboarding content on YouTube.

can I have a list of these YT Personalities? because I have no idea what you guys are talking about

How you talk about gear matters more than for how long. I get bored fast of the Ben D level of attempts at quantification, but I like seeing super fried or weird setups and learning why people like them. It's useful to know some of the basic differences, but annoying to hear "I can't do my (insert thing) because of (insert piece of gear)"

100%. There’s a point of diminishing returns. One can read whatever specs are good (tbh I do regardless because I enjoy skateboarding) but when it comes down to it, a board is a board

Sounds corny but every setup has its strengths and weaknesses. If a board was only going to last you a month as it were, I think it’s healthier to see it as a chance to try some new tricks

Shalom. Saying that I find reading about specs interesting was probably a better way to word things.

I do too, he's a guilty pleasure. His tricks are wack, his style is wack and his fits are wack but he makes them work when it's edited in the Baker way
