This has probably been discussed, but the idea of an abd being bad is stupid. And here are some situations where I think it’s okay to use abs in a video part

You did objectively it better
It’s your signature trick that fans want to see you do it
Spite m
Homage/respect
You want to show how you measure up to a legend
Nobody saw the video the first guy did it in
The video that it was in came out before you were born
It was over a decade ago.
The person who did them first turned out to be a huge asshole

probably not an unpopular opinion here but it seems to be out there is nike should part ways with paul rodriguez, i really can't see reissues of his shoes bringing in the money to make it worth it

nike sb has such a stacked team theyd have no problems finding another or several skaters to push and put more resources behind

After Savier flop. Nike tried some legends like BA and Gino to put the skate program. But it only blew up with P.Rod joining  on the team. Its all about taste, to me P. Rod is one of most talented skaters ever (unpopular opinion here). Few dudes can do a switch back smith backside flip out on a concrete tall ledge in their 40s.

Yes. People talk about Prod on SLAP as if he’s “milking it” when his entire brand now is about his commitment to skating hard as he gets older.

I don't think anyone ever called p-rods talent or current ability into question when criticizing him for being lame.

I’ve seen it more than once people try to act like Prod wasn’t an incredible or influential skater. Hate on his personality or corniness but don’t act like he’s milking it or hasn’t been consistently ripping since he was a young teen. To add to the unpopular opinion I like Primitive. The collab stuff isn’t really my thing but I do like some of their other graphics and the videos are always top notch.

I love Mason and he deserves everything he's been given. But without SOTY we would probqbly have gotten a few more (or at least one more) all-time part full of bangers out of him. He still looks good in the HUF and REAL parts but his brand of skating is only truly exhilarating when you can see the skater is pushing at their absolute limit and that spark of magic energy, focus and hunger is gone.

Given a choice, I actually prefer chicken scratch “penis” type shit over “good” pieces because I can tune it out more easily.

Exodus is sick, but I totally agree. That part was sooooo fucked but that particular song selection seemed so random, I even tried talking myself into liking that edit, like, that was supposed to be THE Ramondetta part, but it really didn’t work, at least for me. Kind of a bummer. Footage was ridiculous though.

I am not that much into Thrash Metal but I think this is one of the best parts of all time. The skating, the edit and the music. Everything is great. Especially the first and the last trick in his part. Ramondetta is the man.

That's the first spot that came to my mind when I read the previous post. I don't think I'd remember that spot if it wasn't for that and it makes me laugh that somebody's shitty little graffiti is in so many vidoes now.
