They really had an amazing team at one point. Supa, Renaud, Olly Todd, Fairfax, Clint, Shimizu I think, Raymond, apparently Jack Sabback, Tony Karr, Tony Silva… was Keegan Sauder on too? Imagining a full length with those guys is amazing.

I remember Keegan being pretty bummed on Stereo by the time he left.  I think Dune was not great at communicating and organizing at the time, and Zero had a pretty serious 'program', if you had a gnarly trick in mind, you'd get a plane ticket.  It seemed like Stereo then had the distribution and therefore money to market and pay pros, it just never seemed to go anywhere...

One can only imagine a 50 year old dude still trying to make a living in an industry that is considerably worse than how he experienced it decades ago, no shit he's mad....

Hopefully a revamp. I thought stereo was the coolest when I was a kid in the 90’s. And their art direction is still great. Maybe a couple legacy pros and some reissues, keep us old heads happy.

Jason lees cowboy retirement board was one of the best boards I ever had. Loved that board. One day it’ll pop up on eBay and I’ll pay an embarrassing amount of money for it.

Dune not so much. He is not alone in this but it seems many companies are started/ continued as a personal need, not a market need. This is fine but the amount of people doing this probably hurts the industry as a whole.

IMO one of the big problems with the “industry” is that there are sooooooo many old dorks like Dune hanging around trying to avoid getting a real job. I mean this is a huge problem everywhere, you see it with Andrew Tate’s “Hustler’s University” and myriad dropshipping scams, etc. I don’t know why it’s so prevalent in skateboarding except to speculate that immaturity and a fairly low barrier to entry fuels endless delusion.

The idea that Stereo Skateboards should exist to sell anything other than Jason Lee merchandise is laughable.
