southside skatepark in Houston is under new skater own'd ownership by local filmer BigO who used to own Instrumental. Anyway, i've signed on to take over administration and development duties on their web site. i'm pretty stoked about this. i've been looking for a good skate project to get involved in and this will have me working with southside and give up, so just completely fucking stoked. hoping to take things in a Skatepark of Tampa direction except not have it look like shit but haven't actually worked out the direction or any specifics yet.

well to be completely honest, it wasn't your typical stretch your asshole so it hurts size of a babys arm type of dump, it was more an anoxeric 3 footer.

they had this guy at my school we called the phantom shitter

he'd lay a turd on the toliet seat in the dorms that would usually go more than half way around. it was really nasty but impressive. the turds on their own were impressively long but to be able to shit with that kind of accuracy was just insane.

After smoking weed all day everyday for the past 3/4 years, and drinking at least 3/4 beers everyday this summer, I've decided to give up both indefinitely, or until I can't take it anymore, probably a few days. Fuck this is hard, I almost want to give in and smoke just one joint, but I'd be too disappointed in myself. Which was the feeling I had every night, leading me to quit.

Alright.. so I've decided to alter my game plan. The reason I felt so sloppy and worthless wasn't because of weed and booze per se... but because I was abusing both in excess. SO...

I'm going to start by limiting myself to ONE joint a day, in the evening. While that still may be a lot more than some of you smoke, it's a big improvement from smoking weed as soon as I get up until I go to bed.

As for the booze... I'm going to drink my last Heineken that's in the fridge, and that'll be the end of my solitary drinking. I'm only choosing to drink it myself because it's only like 1 and a half regular beers, and it won't make me feel sloppy and stupid like my regular 2 Faxes.

So go ahead, call me a pussy with no willpower. At least I'm making an effort to better myself. Just let me work on it one day at a time instead of going cold turkey.

ussually skateshops don't pay that well, so that makes it more a job for skate rats up to 20 years of age. After that it is more rewording (financially) to work somewhere else. an other plus to working in the skateshop is that you can easily flirt with female customers and that they would be delighted to hang out with you.
