Very stoked on this girl I've been seeing around campus a lot more lately. I've done some social media researching and she seems pretty cool, plus I think she's in my league. Just not stoked on the fact that 1.) I never see her out on weekends or very rarely see her at all. Anecdote: the one time I did I was wearing a jacket from some camp that her friends went to and she called me out on it, but I was stupid and didn't make a move then. I've worn that jacket out many times since in a pathetic attempt to possibly attract her attention, but to no avail. Could still work though. 2.) I feel like I might end up liking her as more than a hook-up thing, which is fine, but I don't know if I want that. And 3.) She has the same name as my sister and I have the same name as her brother... I don't think it's that weird, but she might. IDK dudes. I should just man up and talk to her or some shit, obviously.

I'm 23, and I still don't have my drivers license. I was ready to get it at 18, but for whatever reason I just left it and didn't end up driving for a couple of years. Yesterday I was out on the street smoking a cigarette, and there were these 4 balloons tied to a street sign. Some little delinquent kid probably about 11-13 started popping them with a stick he picked up off the ground. He popped two of the balloons but then his stick broke and he started to go on his way. As he was walking I yelled "hey kid!" He turned around, and I used the ember of my cigarette to pop the remaining two balloons, he was in awe and shouted "whoa!"

I was stoked that I participated in his delinquency, but not stoked that I probably made him want to smoke.

That's where you went wrong dude. You gotta mentally win before you win the war. If you go in with the attitude you're not gonna get any, then you won't. You're the dude, you can't expect her to make a move. If you want to hook up with a girl, you gotta be assertive and take a gamble, make a move.
