Don't know if this is the best thread, but what do you guys think is the most padded (sole cushioned) cupsole out right now?

I've been riding the Reynolds G6 but it looks like they are getting dumped soon. I might hunt down some other recent models like the Avex or BA on eBay (although I don't really like the upper fit on that one) but I don't see anything in stores now that puts more than 1/4 inch between my foot and the ground.

In terms of cup sole I really enjoy the Gilbert Crocket by Vans, no its not the most cushioned but I never got a heel bruise skating them. I think the most padded would probably be the Reynolds G6, the Herman G6, or maybe just dunks from nike.

BA's, Prod's, Dunks, Supra Avex/Quattro/Hammer, NB's Logan, Adidas Suciu (this one has to do with the thick insole)... The ones i could think of right now.

the insole of those are thick but the sole is thin, but once again accel is one, and no dude next season they will have the reynolds in a black and white colorway so you don't have to give up on them just yet. and getting some good insoles help too, look at some foot print insoles or something.

My Vans are pretty blown out now.  I'm stuck between deciding on Figgy's shoe or Romero's, anyone have experience with either of them?

Having skated them both I'd say the Figgy's personally. The internal fit system (as Emerica calls it) is no joke, it's like skating a slip on cupsole.
Buuut the Romero's are a lot more forgiving for wider feet

I just skated the Romeros and they are so fucking grippy. A bit too wide for my feet. Is the Figgy as grippy as the Romero?

i feel like the romeros ar grippier, but i might just feel that way, cause the figgys soles are stiffer for a long time wich is a reason i don´t skate em- never feel broken in for me!

I had a pair of the leo laced that everyone skates without any shoe laces. I would only suggest buying them a half size smaller if you want to roll around with no laces because they ran a little big on me. other than that it was a pretty good shoe and lasted me about a month and a half only real complaint was the thin insole but that was to be expected going into it.

Yeah extremely grippy haha. Just rub the soles along your griptape for 10-20 seconds?
If the Leo's are too wide go with the Figgy's, like I said the shoe fits like a glove and has perfect heel lock.

Got mines a little early...went ahead and skated it for about a half-hour out of curiosity and they're surprisingly decent. The leather overall feel's good.

Got mine early as well. Leather quality is really good. Doesn't look like anything special in photos going around but is really soft and buttery. My only gripe is that the heel doesn't lock you in like the gravis incarnation did.

Cool. Sizing vs. the regular Dylans?

I own the Lo's with the thin outsole and the vulc version of the gravis pairs. for me the vulc slips were a half-size smaller compare to the huf version which is true to size. as far as heel lock, well it's not as tight but you just need to dig your heel's in-there a little bit and it starts to break in enough to fit well. The huf version also feel's thicker on the sole for some reason but maybe it's just the foxing around the shoe that makes it so because it's high, overall i like it. Just don't know how long the leather is gonna last since it's all soft compare to a leather that you have to break-in first.

Never been a fan of skating slip-ons in general but the dylan's didn't give me the feel of slip-ons where generally it feels flat on the toe and the shape feel's more like a shoe with laces it's just it doesn't have it on. If you've ever try to skate with slippers, they feel too bare with your feet entirely exposed. With the Dylan's, the shoe feel's like a normal vulc shoe with laces with the wearability of a slip on.

Yeah, true to size but I feel like there is a bit more room in the front of the shoe (more height and slightly more width) than the gravis vulcs. Anone else notice that under the insole there is a thin layer of squishy blue material, not unlike gravis' poron technology?

i saw them in person today they felt really thin, so i wouldn't think the upper would last that long, the white ones looked like disco shoes.

Finally found a pair of the ADV Boosts on sale.

Freakin cool shoe. Very lightweight, fits the foot like a glove and is quite flexible. Feels very high tech on the foot.
I felt that there was little to no break in time required. Skated good right out of the box.
Cushion is what this shoe is about apparently, with the fancy-schmancy boost foam. I mean, what can I say? Its comfy as fuck and feels kinda bouncier than a normal shoe, but that could just be my imagination.
I typically skate vulc shoes, so the grip is taking some getting used to, but it should be ok.
The only downside is that the suede on the toe feels very thin and might blow out easily.
So to summarize:

Pros: light, comfortable and responsive. Looks like something a future man would wear.
Cons: Might explode if exposed to kickflips.
Overall, neat.
I'd get them on sale though.

Probably will skate the Figgy's first. Looks like a slimmer type Laced with an inner-sock liner. Too bad the insole was glued, was a bitch to take out and put my FP Gamechangers in there.

It's ok TOAST-FACE KILLA, I don't hate you.
