Anyone have experience with the new Janoski RM ?
They are supposed to have a better fit and not be so narrow but would love some first hand experience. Planned on grabbing some when the go skate day sales hit

Can anyone with the Polar Air Trainers confirm if there's any/much midsole cushioning? I know they have the Zoom insole, but I'd probably have to remove that to fit (orthotics), and I'm wondering what's underneath the insole.

The insole is the classic zoom air one , underneath it you have nice amount of midsole that you can even see outside the shoe. You should be ok :)

Ah - no shops local to me got them, so I couldn't see/touch them in person. Couldn't tell if that was actual midsole or just decorative. Thanks!

You're welcome. Same thing here, those didn't even arrived to my country so I had to order both of them.

So my friend and I have this theory that squishy midsole shoes are messing with our knees. He has Adidas Iniki's and I have Nike Vomero 5 SP's. I have heard a good basketball shoe reviewer on YouTube, Wear Testers (Not Wear Tested) mention the same thing. Maybe it affects skaters more than others? Not sure. Maybe switching between hard bottom and Boost/ React/ whatever is rough on the knees. Idk. Anyway at the end of the day I feel more comfortable having worn something like these Jordan IV's.

True true

I’m interested in this theory. Lots of folks recommend only wearing skate shoes to skate in. I’m trying to find out what people are chilling in.

I wouldn't have ever chilled in skate/soccer/Chucks in my 20s and 30s if I knew how fucked my joints would feel in my 40s.

Thick soles from here on out.

The strap is not a gimmick at all, it secures and provide a sung nice feel + protects laces. I love mine.

They weren't selling that well so I can understand phasing them out... the two pairs I got were like half retail.
Still the best shoe I've skated tho. Super jealous of that brand new pair.

I just picked these up yesterday after leaving the skatepark. The shop had the polar trainers and I've been thinking about buying them, but I just opted out for these because I know I'll wear these and won't have buyers remorse later. I've skated a few pairs of gt blazers in the past and they always skate great. Blow out a little fast but I've doctored up a few pairs to last longer. Still skating a pair of adidas campus advs.
