First pair of Janoski's in a very long time, never had a pair of the slips until now, though. They had the same thicker SB insole as a pair of Decon Dunks I got about a month ago, so I ditched those for a thinner insole as I did with the dunks and they fit great.
More or less cush than vans slip on pro?
Oh less cush for sure, Vans pro insoles (in my opinion) will always be the cushiest stock insoles besides the old lunarlon and the insoles in some State shoes. At a glance, the insole is standard Zoom Air, but what I'm getting at, is that there is a noticeable change in thickness in where the anterior of your foot sits in the shoe. Mid typing this I figured an image would be helpful:

Used a book to keep them flat for comparison. Top is an insole from the Orange Label Dunk Mids, which I would consider to be the normal thickness I've noticed from the zoom air insoles. Bottom is what was included with the Janoskis, which at least to me, appear to have an increased thickness. Now I know that the insole from the mids has been worn, but I took them out right when I got the shoes and I don't remember them to be as thick as the Janoski insole at all. In fact, the insole I mentioned I took out of the Decon Dunks in my initial post has the same increased thickness, and upon putting those in the Mids, changed the fit of the Mids as a whole, compared to the insoles they came with.
Sorry for the lengthy response but sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy when I notice something like this, so I was trying to lay out my thoughts to myself as well haha.
tldr; Janoski insole looked thicker, so I replaced them with a thinner insole and they now fit better, at least on my feet.
