I never understood getting dickies that are too long and then cuffing them, when you can customize the length to so that they fit..

For all you Converse fans, what is the consensus on the sizing? Is it go 1/2 size down across the whole line? Or just specific models? I keep reading that Converse are running big.

I'm 11 in all shoe brands, and 11 is my size for the KA-II.  For the KA-One Vulc (lunarlon) and CTS OX (lunarlon), I did 11 and they are fine for me, but if you like your shoes snug, then definitely go half size down.

I am pretty damn short so they run long regardless. I've cut pairs in the past but I work too much and just want to skate.so i just stopped giving a damn cuz I ain't got time.

I want to like vans so much, but every pair gets an ollie hole in 2 or 3 sessions. especially the tnt5's. half cabs lasted the longest in my opinion. are there any other models that dont go to shit immediately?

For all of the newer models with lunarlon, you can use your same size or half a size down --- these shoes stretch after a while, but they last so long (trapasso's especially).
With older, non-lunarlon models, definitely go half a size down from your standard size. If you prefer a more snug fit, go a full size down. But again, these shoes stretch a lot.

Due to the Active sale, I'm having a dilemma whether to buy the Lakai mariano or alvarez. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've skated the mariano but all the reviews about the sole on the alvarez make the shoe tempting.

This is the reason I've never tried the converse skate chuck taylors.  I wear a 10.5 in regular chuck taylors,  11.5-12 in other brands,  and I have no idea what I would get in the CTS0x or whatever.  Plus there's like four different versions of them that all fit differently?  I've never seen the skate ones in shops around here.

Sweat Stains - The navy Howard's look killer. I've run out of superlatives to describe just how good of a skate shoe it is.

Did you change the laces, or is that what came stock? They look different than every other pair I've had. If I had ANY complaint about the Howard it would be the laces break pretty quickly. But that is such a petty thing to even mention considering how good everything else is about the shoe.

The standard consensus is that whatever size you wear in standard chucks, go half a size up for the skate model.

BUT with all of the padding and insole changes over the past two, maybe two and a half years, converse makes it reallllllly hard for people to order their shoes. I would personally go for a size 11 in your case.

They came with these round style laces, and a pair of flat laces that are the same brownish color that runs around the shoe.

I wanted to skate those Howards, but they're just too narrow for me.

Great looking kicks. IMO, Habitat are some of the most underrated shoes.

They are supposed to be coming out with a mid version of that Austyn shoe, but obviously renaming it.
