WTF my pic files too big to post.

I gotten 9.5 grey/black prod 7 on sale for 49$ http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/sb-paul-rodriguez-7-low-shoe/pid-775642/pgid-1508000

Also got size 10 koston2 in black/gum sole. They run small so up your side and they are narrow and a lil tight, I need to break them in. http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/sb-eric-koston-2-skateboarding-shoe/pid-775614/pgid-1507888

I tried the lunar one shot in size 10 and couldn't even fit my foot in and I wear a size 9.5 in everything.  What the fuck is up with all these narrow shoes.

Coneklr - How are the soles on these Huf Mercer? Way back I had the Quiksilver RF1 that the Mercer was directly ripped from and they were a decent enough shoe, but were absolutely ruined by the sole. Quiksilver used a sole that was way too soft, and too grippy. It was like having the bottom of your shoe lined with bubblegum. Absolutely zero response and board feel. Just a dead sole.

That said, I am hoping Huf at least changed the sole design from the RF1. I am trying to decide between the Mercer or the Globe Appleyard Mahalo Mid.

Sorry man, not on much these days.  It's the standard H pattern Huf sole.  Insoles are garbage imo unless you're looking for nothing up front and minimal in the heel.  I'd swap with the newer ones out of my choices.  I like the shoe but I can't skate right now because of my back so I can't say how they skate.  That sole in the past has seemed to wear down quick if you're skating a lot though.  I really like the shoe though.  I wish the new release would of came out with a cool colorway and I probably would of snagged another pair.  Hope this helps at all.

Right on, thanks Coneklr. I appreciate the time and feedback. I'm going to give them a try I think. I completely agree with you on the limited colors tho. Not too many shoe manus are making quality mids these days as it is, and Huf didn't really put too much thought into the Mercer. Black, Red, and some goofy purple animal print.

And a shot in the dark...can anyone give me any feedback on Huf Pepper Pro and the Huf Pro? I searched the forums and there wasn't much. Are the Pepper bulky or do they fit snug and close to the foot?

I love the pepper. it's not super bulky, but then again it's not snug, so if you want a snug fit, go a half size down. it's been my favorite shoe of the last year or so.

Thanks for the heads up Nallid. I've heard good stuff about the durability and the way the Pepper skates, just never knew about fit. This is a small instance where I have to order them online bc my local is completely out of that shoe so I really do appreciate the feedback on fit.

Skating: Look amazing, solid amount of boardfeel and support. Only beef is they have bit of a heel slip, was hoping it would go away after wearing them for a bit but it's still there. I have pretty narrow feet so maybe that's why, length fits good.

Everyday.

I'd say no to the pros.  The heel slip I had in them was horrible and where the stiching was opened up pretty quick ( like a couple sessions) .  I was bummed because I really wanted to like them.

The Peppers worked out really well for me. fit true to size and lasted a really long time. definitely worth the money.

For everyone who's been talking about the Peppers: I have a pair that I'm waiting to break out for skating in the spring. I've been walking around in them a little and I've notice the whole toe cap is really rigid and snug, and I don't know how I feel about that so far. Do they eventually loosen up with some skating?

I feel it's just the stripes, the actual model doesn't really look like any shoe Adidas has out on its skateboarding line

99% of HUF shoe designs are direct bites off of other brands.  Nothing new here.  Regardless, support skater owned.

the stripe on the pepper isnt supposed to be similar to adidas, its supposed to be a strip of a couple colors different from the rest of the shoe and a reference to the stripe on some gucci shoes
