I've skated those 3 times now (around 5-6 hours).
No Big difference with the OG Blazer. They feel a tiny bit snugger than the OG but that could be explained by the new sock liner. The swoosh is made of some screened material just like the toe cap, which reduce the aesthetical effects of the abrasion.
It's the OG Blazer with some light updates, and I'm so happy with it.

I had the black ones with the grey swoosh. They are really good. Love the sock liner and screened on swoosh

i personally hate skating in sambas, but i think its because they dont fit my feet well and theres like no cushion at all. but im skating these right now, and if you like slim shoes, then you'll probably like these. the leather holds up decently, but ive got a few rips on the toe from doing kickflips. the way the laces slant inward is sick though because you wont rip through them like you do with other shoes. other than that theyre super lite and pretty comfortable once you break them in.

(i have a white/orange/black colorway, just couldnt find it online)

Anyone know a place that still has these? Figured since Habitat shoes is getting axed that I would pick some up before they're gone. I'm also going on a hiking trip soon and need some new hiking shoes. I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone with these but I can't seem to find them anywhere in the US.

i had these and used them to hike, they kinda suck but i could see them being ok for a casual hike but definitley not a hiking trip

I see these all the time for $25 canadian at army and navy. They felt like rubber boots to me when I tried them on. Maybe I just didn't give them a chance.

I'm on my third pair of Laced, whatever suede they're made with is very strong. In fact i wish it was a bit less tough, because they'd be easy to sew back together & fix $:-\$

The slim canvas strip stitching the panels together is what eventually rips & makes the side wall come loose. But even after this happens you can still wear them, as you can see the toe area wraps pretty far back (you could probably still skate them like this too)

Not a big fan of the new sole design though. The two with the classic sole are "Laced by Leo Romero", the newer sole comes with "The Romero Laced". Maybe this sole works nicely on other Emericas but I like the older sole, personally.

i was gonna buy those new aves exactly but then i bought some black and white canvas vulc vans from kohl's for 30 and they are pretty much the same and i am a shoe nerd and label whore. those aves are his best shoe yet though.
