Yup, haven't skated any other NB# models. Only the Stratford's so far.

Probably end up skating the running shoe after the Stratford. The one that comes out next year, the Logan-S
[close]

Just out of curiosity Tate, how many sessions you skate a pair of shoes? You probably don't run them down, since you get a bunch for free.
[close]

3/4 weeks or so usually. Definitely not more than a month.

I just give them out after done skating in them.
[close]

How do the Stratford's run size-wise. I wear 9 in everything but Cons and can get them super cheap if I'm quick.
[close]

They run a half-size small. I asked them to send me and 9 and 9.5. I wear 9 in most shoe and my true size, but it was a tight fit.

Go up half a size and they'll fit better.
Next time ask for an 11 then and send me a pm  :-*

how much do the soles of the 'pro' line flatten over time? Just wondering if I should invest in after market insoles.
[close]
the insoles don't flatten out at all. My only complaints are that they're kind of hard and don't mold to your foot that well, so up to you really.

I got the sk8 hi pros and was considering returning them, but that honestly doesn't sound too bad.  I just hate how flat vans get.
Thanks for the info guys.

Tried to skate my first non-Stratford NB shoe for a couple days. Ripped the laces and toe stitch a little after only 2 days.

Probably done with these shoes early next week.

Yeah. Bummed. I don't think it will last too long, not a fan of the mesh toe box.

These are samples. Maybe better materials and design for the final model release in the spring.

yes i did actually. i tried on 9 which i always get in skate shoes and they were a bit to big so the 8.5 felt just fine. it was my first day wearing em for 5-6 hours straight and by the end of the day the heel part kind of wore in and wasn't bugging me- there leather too so that might be it.

I have the same shoes. The Lunarlon sole really sold me on them. They were so comfortable out of the box. They'll stop digging into your Achilles after you break them in. I had the same problem and after a week or so, the heel loosened up.

These look very nice but the sole thread not so much. Still sticking to the adi-ease.
just skated them once on saturday with maranas insoles and they're amazing, good grip, looks durable and the birds on the sole thread aren't a problem, actually they contribute to the durability cause they're not as deep as the zigzag stuff.
great shoes

Bought a pair of the new Adidas Silas. I am really digging them so far, but they seem sized differently than every previous Silas shoe. Every other Silas shoe I've worn a size 10 (my usual for just about every shoe) but for these I had to step down to 9.5. They felt good in the shop, but when I got them home, I didn't like the extra gap in the toes.

This new Silas fit much like the Adidas Seeley, really long in the toebox. The sides of the shoe are slim and close to the foot. The heel lock isn't as vice as the Silas SLR was, but it's still pretty good.

I rarely, if ever, have to size down for any shoe, I just didn't feel comfortable with all that extra space in the toe area. Can't comment on durability just yet because I only have a few skates on them. (pic shows the original 10 that I had to return)

Does anyone tried them? Any feedback?

I know Will Easley tried them back in the summer but he didn't make a full review on them so if anyone has something to say it would be fully appreciated

They're definitely comfy and supportive but I feel they are a tad too thick in the forefoot for my own liking. I've had them in and out of my shoe rotation and have had some sessions better than others. You'll just have to get used to it but it's not too crazy if you regularly skate cupsoles. I feel like if it's the type of shoe you'd be remotely interested in then they're at least worth trying out if you find them on sale or are willing to pay for em, but you might not want to skate them if you dont like thicker cupsoles. It's easily the most cushioned shoe out right now but You will have to sacrifice a little boardfeel for it. Really like that all black colorway tho

Ok thanks, I wasn't a fan of the boardfeel of the Reynolds even if I like the boardfeel from dunks. So I should pass on this one unless i find them really really cheap

Lance Mountain x Jordan 1's & the Lebron 12 'Data'. wonder if 3-4 years from now they'll try to implement the hex-zoom air cushioning system in some SB's. They couldn't embed the airbags into the outsole like the 12's but it could work if they embedded them within a drop-in midole.

yeah the sole's crazy but i like it. I like the multi-colored hits on a black silhouette. these aren't skate shoes so its a totally different aesthetic. These things are loaded tho. The megafuse is actually super flexible but then the hyperposite wings on the ankle & side of the foot keeps you locked in. The whole upper and tongue is a one piece sleeve with the flywire cables embedded into the megafuse so its like this giant sock wrapped around your foot. very comfortable and obviously the multiple Zoom airbags on the outsole are cushy and got that bounce to them. Gonna be hooping and training in them regularly for sure.
