So I went to the adidas outlet store and they had these on sale also an all black pair but it was a half size too big for $40. Nakel Smith has been tripping about the his and I've heard a lot of request to make this a skate shoe. Honestly one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever tried on. Adidas needs to do it.
Those are rad, what model are they?

I am skating those, along with the Black and White ones regularly. I saw the Fall 2015 line, and the Sutters are going to be great, along with the ones coming out in a week or so.
Any links for that?

You're back to Adidas! I've never seen black/black ADV, that is a really nice looking shoe. I think I've asked you this before, but if you had to rank the Vulc/Pro/ADV, how would you rate them?

Bought these Emerica Romero Laced on Friday at the shop. Really isn't the type of shoe I'd typically buy to skate in, but I went in with an open mind to try something new. Only one session on them and I dig them so far. Holy shit are they minimal! You can feel everything. REALLY low profile. I do wonder about the durability though...I only have one afternoon on them and they are losing their shape a little bit. But yeah, so far so good.

EDIT: For those that have tried this and the Figgy, which is lower or are they about the same? I think if the Figgy was just a little more beefy I may prefer that shoe. They look pretty close though.

The Figgy feels a little bit thicker on the sides, but about the same in the sole.

exactly.

The Romero is a decent shoe, the sole is unbelievable. It just doesn't offer enough in the upper for my tastes and comfort. Just a little too minimal. If the Figgy offers more in that area, it sounds perfect. Hercules - I'll be interested to read your Weartested when you guys get a chance to post it up. Thanks for doing that shoe. Really dig what you guys are doing with reviews, it's such a great resource.

I personally loved the Romero Laced - I normally skate some pretty thin vulcs, so I actually really liked how the upper felt so minimal, but as you guys mentioned the sole is unbelievable. So much comfort and support on a minimal $55 shoe. I'm on my second pair now.

They are all pretty different actually, so hard to rank.  Try it this way

Durability
1. Pro
2. ADV (suede is a little softer)
3. Vulc (soles wear out very fast....supposed to fix this year)

Grip
1. Vulc
2. ADV
3. Pro (wouldnt say "not grippy", just less than the other two, grippier than a lot of cupsoles)

Comfort/Fit
1. Pro (perfect)
2. Vulc (a little tight in the toebox, i actually put a thinner adidas insole in them than the ones they come with)
3. ADV (a little roomy in your regular size, have to tie tight to keep heel down)

My personal favorite is the Pro.  I think it looks the best, has the most original design, and it lasts the longest of the three.
hardly art, hardly starving

Definitely agree. It skates great and I'd recommend them to anyone that likes a minimalist shoe. Easily one of the most responsive cupsoles I've ever skated.

Thanks Art! Great breakdown, I appreciate the time put into that.

The Pro is the only one of the 3 that I don't have any experience with, but I want to try a pair. You nailed it on the other 2. The Vulc fit and felt great, skated great, but the upper and sole burned out in no time. Like wildfire. The ADV looks the best of the 3 (IMO) and for as much as I wanted to like that shoe, they just didn't fit my foot at all. I really had to wrench down on the laces to get any heel lock. It's one of those shoes that either fits your foot or it doesn't, no middle ground.

Came up from that sale DC had on their site recently and got both pairs of these Lynx for $48 shipped. First time skating DC's since their whole revamp and i gotta say that Im definitely feeling these. they're fairly comfy, skate great, and are excellent value for the cost. They're a steal if you get them on sale, DC still has them going for like $38 a pair. I also got my dog Louie from the shelter for a cool $20 that was another come up as well

I feel like this is one of those shoes that skates 'pretty good', but you forget you skated them like 2 pairs of shoes after... Probably not worth the price tag I'm guessing?

Not worth the $120+, in my opinion.

I feel like these shoes should have been $80 retail in the first place.

CCS has these for $90 or so, If anyone wants to try a pair, wait 1-2 months so they'll be more deeply discounted.

The Lynx are really great.  The sole wears out too fast but in general it is the best shoe I have skated in the last year or so, particularly for half price. The colourways have been sick too.

I don't have the links. The owner of the skateshop showed me the line. A lot of basic blacks and neutral treys. Basic dark colors for the entire line.

I had these special ordered at my shop. I also found a pair of brand new Nike Koston 1s in the first blue/gold for 30 bucks on ebay.

They fixed the Koston 2 sole so it flexes like the first one. Super comfy. Like a more structured Etnies Highlight.
