Also put some cardboard under the insole to feel them tighter since they got some extra room after breaking them in. I'm really OCD with my shoes i know...
[close]

That's a great idea.

I've added an extra thinner insole before, but this would allow you to really dial it in, and the cardboard would still feel pretty normal..

[close]

I just took them out and took some pics for you to see how i done it.

I used some thin cardboard that has in the back of my notepaper and glued pieces were i wanted a snugger fit. They are assimetric because my right foot is a little smaller than my left one so i had a little extra layers on the right one. Also some layers on the arch to improve a little the arch support.
Thicker in the toes (4 layers) and the ball of the foot has just 1 layer (2 in the right foot).
They are a little trashed because of the sweat but the textile glued on top is holding everything together.
Its almost like a custom orthopedic insole ahahahah

Also how i do to make the tongue stay in place for anyone interested.

I use a needle with fishing line and tie it to the top holes of the inner side, it doesnt move anymore.

I'm really into DIY. All worked pretty well, the shoes fell snug but confortable, unlike if i bought a smaller size (i hate small shoes). Now they feel and skate perfect.

This is the type of shit i'm talking about - good fucking work.

i've used zipties to keep the tongues on my old Blazers centered.  you'd have no clue from the outside.

The tongue centering is genius. The diy orthotics are a feat of madness.

Haha, nice, Sk.A.T.A.N. I'm pretty major into modding my shoes, but I've never gone that far.

I've stacked my Emerica Reynolds insoles on top of other chiller shoes before because those things are thin as paper but somehow feel good as a second layer.

@Lonechicken i usually put a old adiease insole that's really thin below the main insole but they felt too tight this time so i came up with this cardboard idea and it worked really great.

@BMCsteve i do love to draw shoes and flaws like this drive me nuts, it's a small problem, but so annoying and its easy to solve. Dunno how they dont think about this. I've donne some drawings and actually i sent my last Huf design to their mail and instagram but got no response from annyone... I tried to send my designs to Jeff mikut at lakai, he said he was gonna leave me some advices and oppinions but got no response too. I got a little bummed. :/

Quick question. Haven't worn busenitz pros in years. I wear an 8 in every shoe I own except a pair of busenitz vulcs in which I had to size up to an 8.5. Any thoughts?

The Cups have always been true to size - Just tried the all leather ones on this week and they were true to size, sadly they were NOT my size or I would have scooped them up (was hoping a 9.5 would work but I needed a 10).

Vans TNT SGs

Usually wear a 10, got them in 9.5 as Vans tend to blow out a half size...doesn't seem to be working too well with this model but they are still fine to skate in. Durability sucks balls and the heel/impact area is totally non-existent, my first session with them was just ollieing up and down a four set (variels and heels down) and my heels and knees hurt like a bitch the next day so I went to install my footprint insoles and....

Had issues with the footbed (I tried pulling out the ortholite insole and it ended up taking out the hardish rubber footbed as well, tearing it in the process...glued/taped the footbed back in place so it's all good).

I've had 3 sessions in them and can already see the stitching on the left shoe's eyelet row giving up and the sole is degrading really quickly:

Just picked these cloud kickers up today. I've posted before that NB# really did improve it's entire line top to bottom, but I would say this Quincy has probably been most impacted. The "old" model is pure junk compared to this. They drastically improved the fit and shape. The old Quincy was really flat and felt like a "fat" shoe, where this new offering has much more shape and is slimmed up closer to the foot. And the old sole isn't even in the same universe as this new one.

Trying to skate in the Matt Miller's again. They're great, I'm sucking though...

They are really well made and feel like a pro shoe quality wise. Great sole. Instant break in. Not the most beautiful or fashionable design but really good to skate in. Surprised they aren't more popular.

Motherfucker. I wear an 8.5 always, had a pair of Busenitz Vulcs over a year ago that I loved in that size, just received some new ones (the white suede, blue stripes ones) in 8.5 and they feel like a size 6. Did adidas change them? Will these break in to the insanely perfect comfort of my first pair?
