These are the Gino's, right? I have a pair but have never got round to skating them. They run a bit small and are still a bit tight... Always seemed like they would skate well though.

Got both of these for cheap on the sales rack at the converse store. These were the only two they had for cheap that weren't some weird model or colorway.
The Star Players sizing is all sorts of fucked up. I wear a 9 in most shoes, so I get usually an 8 in most Cons since they run big. I tried an 8 on and I had quite a bit of toe room left in the shoe. I tried a 7.5 and it was too small, the toe area felt too squished and uncomfortable. I compared the size 9 Vox's I was wearing to the Star Players and the 8s were bigger than the Voxs by half an inch , and the 7.5s were smaller than the Voxs by somewhere between half an inch to an inch. So the 8s were a 9.5 in size and the 7.5s felt more like 8.5 in size. The star players literally jumped a full size up between half sizes. Anyone else notice this with the star players? I ended up just getting the 8s even though they were a bit big, so I didn't have to deal with squished up toes.
The Sumners fit pretty good though. No complaints there.

Got back to wearing the colorful swoosh Dunks even though I swear the right was too big maybe my foot grew though.

Is it perforated? cause that seems to be the only one that was released in black leather/white sole.

Yeah it's those ones just not my thing. If no one wants em I'll keep em for funerals and weddings and meetings with my secret club (well I'll let ya in on the secret, we dress up like 1920's mobsters and put water in various glass containers then put those in wooden crates then load up our vehicles with the crates and get out of our cars smoking cigars and move the wood crates up to various loading docks whilst calling each other by our "mob names" (mine happens to be Johnny Quick Pecker) and if you drop a crate and bottles break you have to say "slick move franky" even if the person who dropped its "mob name" does not happen to be Franky. there aren't really any rules other than that one.)

CONS are so fucked with sizing that I just gave up on them. Especially for us guys with smaller feet. I had one pair of size 8.5 CTS that fit me perfectly, and another pair (same size and model) that fit way too big.

I wear 10.5 in most other shoes and I've gotten size 10 in a pair of ctas pro low tops, regular hi top chucks and a pair of star player pro mids mandersons. The mandersons feel a little long still and stiff but once I start skating in them they feel good. But that's made me hesitant to buy more star players. I'm mad jealous of  you for finding sumners for the sale joog tho. I'm on the hunt for those and the one stars on sake preferably in person so I can make sure the sizing feels good.

Recently saw a decent selection of Converse's skate line at the Great Mall converse outlet store .definitely worth a check out.

The skate pretty well, but nothing special, like any dunk really

:) Fuuck, jealous! loved them when they first came out. that was my fav colorway too. perfect feel, fit and flick, lasted all summer.
unfortunately stage IVs had some issues with the foxing/outsole separating, a possible bug in the wafflecup r&d or a shit factory? out of 3 pairs, only one of mine had it though.

I'm a big fan, pretty good straight out of the box and the fit is perfect. I put in some Remind insoles but the regular ones are decent enough.

Does anyone know the best way to get a hold of Vans customer service about warranty issues, returns or exchanges? I bought a pair of slip on pros so I could get "Propeller" and have only worn them a handful of times. I was cleaning the house the other day and was horrified when I looked down and saw a large hole in the suede. I can only imagine how they would look if I had actually skated them. I haven't had much luck with Vans in the past, so I was hesitant to purchase them again, but I really wanted the video.

Would it help if you just told yourself you bought the DVD and received some shitty shoes as a bonus?

Hahah, not so much! I actually posted on their facebook page and they responded several hours later, so I am currently in the process of getting it sorted out. I will let you guys know how well they take care of me. Still bummed on the fact that the suede was utter shit. I snipped the little red tags off of the shoes, so I hope that doesn't void any type of return or exchange. I've only owned a few pairs of Vans and I have not been impressed. I had Greco's 2nd shoe in black/gold/gum and that thing lasted forever, but I bought the TNT 5 mid in Navy/Gum a couple of years ago and the laces ended up ripping right through the eyelets real quick like...

Been curious how the Gillette skates for those of you that got them, and some other people have asked also. Weartested just posted a really nice review:
