. also the inner heel cup thing broke in the 2 shoes, leaving the heel really lose and unsafe. Oh and its a cup sole.

had this on two pairs that I had - second pair just fractured and left loads of jagged edges that fucked up the back of my foot.  (while being broken in, hadn't even started skating in them at this point)

comfy shoes though, shame they weren't a bit more durable

Yeah, like mine. I just stopped skating them and made a small cut to remove that plastic in both shoes. Now i just use them to work in the yard, they are like my dirt slip-ons.. haha

PS: Sk.A.T.A.N- if theres no metal on the Blazers, pull out the insoles and laces and microwave the shoes for about 45 seconds. Then just work the hell of the sole until the cardstock stuff on the inside breaks in.

I have them for more than year, been chilling in them and they are more than broken in now! They arent just the most supportive shoe IMO, even being a hi cut shoe.

Tate, i dont have FP insoles but i'm thinking in putting some PU Sole Tech insole i have or if they are to thick some thin ortholites. But I dont like to feel my heel too low. I'm getting used to the high heel of the Busenitz, best thing for heelflips.  :)

chillclinton87, If i get them i'll be glueing the stitching for sure. It's been a while since i skated a shoe with toe paneling.

Great color! The last black suede toe-area 577 I skated was the all black pair. Looking forward to getting this one.

Got some Adidas Silas ADV (I think) on sale.

Really good shoe. Comfy with a good flick. I like the welded toe.
I was skating the Puig ADV so going back to a vulc after a cupsole is fun. Way grippier!

Just started skating these, Emerica Westgate CC.
Kinda is exactly what I've been hunting for, slim minimal cupsole that holds it's shape.
Hopefully they hold up.

Goddamn, they look soo borring... The runner toe ones were one of my favourite designs of the last years and it saddens me seeing it being swapped for those CC's.

I don't mean to be a nitpicky dick, but they don't have a welded toe. It's just an aesthetic overlay like the Project BAs. Otherwise they'd basically be Adiease ADVs lol.  That said, the shoes are fucking awesome. I got the grey ones. Kudos on skating some of the best (and most under appreciated) models of the year!

Those Westgate CCs look like a half-finished Reynolds shoe.

I totally agree on the boring comment, but they fit well and feel good.
I tried the runner toe ones and they just looked too fresh for me.

Great color! The last black suede toe-area 577 I skated was the all black pair. Looking forward to getting this one.

On my third pair in a row of PJ Stratfords. They're so good right out of the box. The laces rip quickly, but other than that, very durable. The entire toe box has rubber underneath the suede, so when you rip through the suede, you have some rubber to go through before a hole forms.

Indeed, shoe is great and nearly indestructible. Laces die out before the shoe does. Got 3 pairs ready to go next.

The pine green one with the writing on the inside, and two sample ones.

Age is not a excuse to not mix things up a bit for a moment! :P
But yeah i understand not being appealing to everybody.
I bought a new pair of BAs a while ago (black/pink), but they streched out too much, more than my white pair. I cant skate them so loose, will be chillers for now on. I cant find a half size down anywere anymore (europe) to skate...

I had this exact feeling when i tried them on. The price was so low that i got them anyway. Super durable shoe. But i never got used to that sporty look and also even though the toe looks pointy it really isn't. The outsole extends outwards from the upper and looking at the sole from underneath its actually not pointy at all, which i dont like.

Took a break from skating NB# to try something different and grabbed these Free Nano on sale. I wasn't sure what to expect but the more you skate them the better they are. The fit is low profile and super snug to the foot. Really tight to your foot. Gusseted tongue. The heel area isn't rigid at all but between the way the shoe fits all around and how the lace row secures your foot in, the heel lock is really good. Only have about 3 hours on these so can't really say anything about durability altho they barely look skated in. IMO they're a little overpriced, they should be in that $65-$75 price range which is what you can find them for right now on sale.

Thanks Tate for the heads up. I may pick up another pair at that price. I forgot to mention in my first post, the "Free" sole feels weird at first. It's actually almost too sensitive, if that makes any sense. You can feel everything. My feet did start to ache toward the end of my session last night, but I was skating pretty hard. The soles also needed worked in because they felt a little slippery right out of the box.

Is it like that piece of shit sole on the Lunar Janoskis? I am kind of into those nanos but not if they have that motherfucker of a sole.

Nah, it's not quite like the Lunar Janoski. IMO, the quality of the Nano sole is great. Nothing bad to say in that regard. Just that it didn't feel super grippy right out of the box. It had to be scuffed up and worked in. But in the feel department - with the Free sole design being articulated in different sections, it gives almost too much feel to your feet if that makes any sense. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, it's just different than most skate shoes. Some will definitely dig it.

Alright team, what's the best rubber toe shoe out right now? I skated a little bit in my Huf x Bronze and I liked them but don't wanna skate them that much because they're #very #rare and #exclusive. So really my question is Classics, Chucks, or CKs? Also I'd be putting in the Cons lunarlon insoles regardless of what I got

No one can choose shoes for you, but my fave toe cap shoe is the lakai Owen with the heat transferred rubber. It's much nicer looking and #sk8rowned

Altamont Capital Partners is my favorite skate company

Same. I was thinking about jumping on the trend wagon and getting a pair of their overalls. I liked the demin that they use. #trendwatch2k16

what the hell does that even mean?
