Anyone know of some wide fitting shoes like the Cons Weapon? Currently skating the Westgate CC, its good but a little narrow.

Tongue is horrible, heel area feels like cardboard. No way these should $95. For a "slimmer" type shoe. It's stiff as hell. Dunks (OG) are perfect out the box. Great fit and feel. Still gonna give them a try though.

They cut out the good stuff in the OG dunk, I get that's the purpose. But should have made it $65, for what's it really worth.

The new insole looks decent but I don't even skate in stock insoles.

Checked them out in a store. Felt like incredibly stiff cardboard. I do not get it. Regular non-skate Dunks feel better.

2 years ago i was at this village party near the beach, i was drunk as fuck and i went to pee in the beach. I was looking behind to see if there was people and then comes a wave and wets me to the knees. Then my friends go home, leaving me with my female friends (i was to drunk to make any type of hook-up conversation with them) in a place of 2h of public transports + 45 mins on feet from home. I wait till the morning to go home, arrive at 12pm and just fall asleep immediately. When i wake up at middle of afternoon i feel all this sand over my bed. It was the motherfucking cuffs that were full of sand. True Story. (I still cuff my pants tho)

This is a confusing, funny conversation.

Shoe-wise, I'm goin' corporate these days:

Currently skating the NB Stratfords, they feel great.  I could only get them in size 9 though and it's a real cramp since I'm usually size 9.5.  Really looking forward to skating the OG Silas SLR below them, it's one of my favourite shoes, discontinued of course.  I have two other pairs but I like their colourways too much to skate in; this pair is simple enough to where I won't regret skating in them.

I have those same PJs. Waiting to skate them, they really seem average to me just walking around in them. Hopefully some magic wears off on e when I skate them...

My local kept having great sales so i went a lil crazy with the shelltoes, got the nb# from ebay.

Are the Trahan's good? I heard they skate like shoes from 2004.
[close]

the pair I skated was ungodly stiff (even for a cupsole) and upper never really broke in. they were also super hot. at least they are really stable / protective
[close]
Have not skated them yet, they are really stiff so I have been walking around in them in hopes to break them in. Might give them a go this weekend tho
[close]

The pair I've got have softened up a little - I've been wearing them day to day for about two weeks (but work in an office so mainly sitting around, not much walking about) and when laced up tight they are proper sturdy.   I don't think I'm going to skate them until the weather picks up (so about April/May) as they're nice winter sneaks, and given that the UK is as wet as an otters pocket at the moment the chance to skate is nearly non existant

Still waiting in the NB# to lossen up a little so I started skating the Superstar ADV , I gotta say I like the cupsole ones a little more. The flick on the ADV is great ,  but the insole makes your sock bunch up and your feet really sweaty. Not a bad shoe though I'll skate them till they are done

I went in a crazy shoe scientist endeavor again and felt in need to share with you guys.
I had this pair of Project BA's in home that after breaking in felt too loose to skate in. They feel about half a size too big so yesterday i was wondering how i could make them "skateable" again. I Picked up the ortholite insoles of my past pair of BA's and made a pillow on the back that push my feet to the front making it snug again. It's stitched to the bottom of the stock insole and the sides of the shoe. It's barelly noticeable when on foot, i just need to buy some new black sharpies to paint it better. It feels alright in the foot but i have too test yet how it performs (it's raining for about a week).

That's pretty genius, that happens to about 15% of the shoes I skate... end up blowing out and getting too loose for comfortable skating. I'll have to try that out soon.
For someone w.no signature ur awfully hostile, & that is why I do this

They've got a good flick in my opinion, if they were a half size bigger for me they'd be even better.  They fit true to size. Hope you have some good sessions in 'em.

Took a long time for me to find a good pair my size on eBay, I'll keep an eye out in the future for you.

Totally underrated shoe - I've two pairs I'm wearing at the moment and another two in my attic waiting for summer.   I also regularly search for them online and find the odd pair at silly prices.  Hard to find in a mans sze though (UK 10/10.5)

Got these authentic lites this weekend and have to say they are super comfortable.

Not sure why they've not made a skateable pair yet, as the cushioning is way ahead of the usual vans shit and something I'd happily sacrifice boardfeel for

Flo marfaing used to ride this ones:

I think they have that same kind of cushy foam but with rubber inserts on the bottom making them skateable. They arent from the skate line tho, they are from the lxvi line which was sold at footlocker.

i am wearing the guymar right now and been skating it 3 or 4 times so far. for being a vulc the shoe still is really stable.
might fit a little snug at first but with getting more flexible it's alright after a while.
the bottom of the sole lasts, wich is rare for me.
quality and how the shoe is put/ glued together is really good.
great flick and feels grippy.
one might be unhappy about the cardboard under the insole but i can live with it.
VLK sole construction seems to be kinda like the wafflecup from vans, so a "vulcanized cupsole"- whatever that means. as far as i saw on the tag coming with the shoe they molded a cup of the bottom part of the sole wich goes up to where the suede part begins and then they put foxing tape around it- i have quite a hard time to describe it. maybe lakai homepage can tell you more ;)

Thanks so much you mentioned they use a formula very similar to the waffle cup that vans uses. Would you say it is at all like or very similar to the Gilbert Crockett by vans?(thats the only other shoe Ive skated that attempts a cup vulc construction)

Never forget how shit those polar cons were. Still have a sour taste in my mouth from that shit. Both pairs tore open.

can't compare them to the crockett since i only was wearing those at the shop for 1 minute, figured i'd have heelslip/ them getting too wide.
but i guess they are kinda alike. as is wrote above the bottom part is one molded cup and the foxing is just around that. i could compare it to the vans stage four shoes but  the ones i still have feel like trash!

I just got the lakai holiday mystery box, in it came a pair of griffins, furas, and guymars. I've already skated a pair of griffins before but I'm wondring if anyone has any advice or knowledge on the guymar or the fura

Lakai fura is a very basic and simple kind of a generic vulc shoe. If you like somewhat thin vulcs, you'll like fura as well. Great boardfeel, good flick (toe is pointier than griffin and its also lighter) and average durability. I liked them a lot for the price i got them.

Skated these NB# samples for about 2 weeks, skates great and lots of boardfeel.

I think I am done skating them, on to the next cupsole. Maybe a dunk low (or IW dunk)or a 533.
