Any of you dudes try the new version of the og Accels? And if so how do you like them? True to size?
[close]

I have a pair. They fit like the old ones, true to size, plenty of room. Just be warned, these things are straight up potatoes now. Like I wear baggier pants, but not like the 90s/early2k, and I don't think I can pull them off anymore. Might save them for summer and rock them with shorts.
[close]

same question but the sals?

SALs came a little small lenght wise in my true size. but i had the first run ones, maybe they fixed it! other than that cool shoe'!

Weird question. Are the Nike Blazers SE's different from the OG blazers?

Not much except the toe area layer. Like the Janoski SE has.

Does the sock thing eliminate the need for socks?  I don't understand them.

No, I have wear them with socks. The sock booty is for protection and lock-down fit. Your shoe isn't going to fly off your feet.

The sockliner is pretty strong and flexible, I think it does help your ankle protection/stability for skating, it may look flimsy but it serves a purpose.

-Nike SB ek3-

Looks like they are holding up really well. Seems like the suede is still holding up, is the sole still grippy? I know you get em for free but in your opinion are they worth any where close to $150?

Sole is grippy, feels like blazer sole back when I skated blazers. For sure the suede is holding up, haven't ripped through it yet.

I still think too much for skate shoes, but feel like it's like buying 2 skate shoes that equal up to $150, the shoe could last that long. No stitching to rip and the heavy skate area seems reinforced.

I would say $90 or less, definitely try them out. I think HUF classic lo are $80, and those are simple as it gets, compared to the EK3.

Has all the tech you want, zoom with lunarlon works, didn't have to use my FP insoles. Kept the stock ones.

Skated them for the first time today, took a bit to get used to ankle feel and fit. But after skating them, they are awesome.

Flicks great and grips the board so good. A damn shame they're $150, but I feel for that price, the shoe will be worth it. Durability is there, will take a damn long time to wear out the grip and sole.

dog those look ridiculous

Arent we overreacting. I think that the top view is really standard actually, since you cant see the sock. Looks just like a P.rod shoe, nothing too crazy.

ave shoe on dc had sockliners

I fucking love that shoe to this day. It even had a heel strap. Not even sure if that was functional or not. I forget what Nike shoe that was inspired by.

Echoing some of Tate's feedback...the more I skate them the more I really dig them. Zero negative space in the shoe, snug heel to toe without cramping your feet. I skated the K1, K2 and these all in succession last week and ironically the sole on these feels thicker to me than the Koston 2, and definitely thicker than the Koston 1. I also thought the sock would've lost some of it's form by now from sweating in them and taking them on and off so many times, but it's held it's shape same as the first day I put them on. And not to belabor the point of cost...although I don't think I'd ever pay $150 for them, relatively speaking to some garden variety vulc that is retailing for $70 or $80 that will blow out in about 2 weeks, the price is in line with what you're getting. If that makes any sense.

Been wearing these Converse Breakpoints for the past couple days and skated in em this morning for a lil bit. They are really comfortable and are the only shoe I haven't put a lunarlon or an ultracush insole in in a very long time. They feel good right out of the box. I always forget how much I like cupsoles until I'm wearing them, and these are some especially good ones. Also flamingo.

Off topic, but how do you deal with the fraying at the end of your pants? I regret doing it to a pair this morning, because now I have to look at the little bits of string that just hang around, might get them hemmed a touch maybe.

Pauly- yeah I've cut off a couple pairs of pants, and usually I'm really frustrated when I do it, but after a while it just grows on me. I was pissed when I cut these off. I can never cut perfectly straight. But I cut off some brown dickies and they were super frayed so I just cleaned em up with scissors.

Silky- thanks man, enjoying them a lot. For such a thin looking shoe, the sole is good for impact, and gives a nice amount of board feel. I Have no idea why they were discontinued.

I went to the Nike outlet and they had prod 9 for 40 bucks with an additional 20 percent off if you want to get your hands on a pair
