My wife wasn't aware of the Mark johnson Lakai affair and bought me these shoes, they are my first pair ok lakai (because the distributor in spain don't have 13US) and they feel pretty confortable.

There's an update? What's the difference between old and new? Hated the old one.

Anybody skated the Lakai Staple yet that could give me a quick run down on how they skate? Just for reference I've skated the MJ and loved them.

More protection than the MJs, but the shape is perfect. Fits and skates perfect. TTS and durable if you get black suede.

It actually skates amazing, like a half cab or a thin cup where you just put it on the first day and forget about your shoes/other problems and just skate worry free for the next month.

For skate shoes, I have like 4-5 ready go. Like some NB#'s, SB's and a couple of eS'.

Not too much like I had before, cut it down to around 55-60 ish shoes left.

Used to have 140+ of skate/chill/backstock a long time ago.

Yeah i feel that last part, thats why i always have a es accel or some reynolds lows or something, you can skate it forever and get used to it without wondering if you might get a hole that day, its great.

Same. Tried to cut back by selling a bunch, but then I just saw it as freed up space for more kicks.

Do you guys prefer to buy your shoes snug with little to no room at the toe, or do you prefer a thumb space of room up front?  I had the Adidas all star ADV and they felt pretty big to me, now I get the adi-ease and my toe goes right up to the end almost.  If I didn't just throw them on right away and go to a couple kickflips I would've returned them.  Lesson learned.  I usually buy Vans or Nike.

the perfect fit to me is when your longest toe is just barely hitting the toe. my toe went all the way in my cks when i bought them but now theres almost 1 cm of space. bags out allot.

My feet are weird, as my friends girlfriend calls them "Monkey feet" where the finger next to my toe is bigger than my big toe. I usually get shoes that are an inch from my big toe because they're half an inch from that toe
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

This. As long as the shoe meets this criteria lengthwise then we're good. I'm more concerned with the width of the shoe. It's gotta be just right. I have wideish feet so if they're too narrow my feet start feeling like they're getting crushed.
