I remember him on Monster (riding Indys), I don't remember Mercury at all, but I'm pretty sure he rode Destructo for a while, same time as Donny Barley.

He did, and then they started Monster when Destructo branched out and started a beefier truck company called destroyer.

i have a pair of salman agah reissues that are fantastic 10/10 would buy again except for the fact that the knuckleheads at the vans factory must have forgotten to use glue to attach the sole, or used glue that dissolves when it comes in contact with water... 0/10 will have to glue the sole back myself and could have probably just made my own shoe from scratch.

eS accel slims? Yay? Nay?
Had a pair of the Tom Asta colorway. They're pretty decent, durability wise they're very good although I had them during a time when I wasn't doing a lot of flip tricks due to injury, sole holds up well with good grip and board feel. Only complaint is that the toe box stretches out a lot vertically to the point that the top of the toebox doesn't even touch your toes. For that reason I wouldn't get them again. If you're in between sizes definitely go down one.

Yup, pretty decent and especially since you can find them on sale now.
I usually never rip shoes, ever, they just bag out and get worn down. I kickflip with the rubber of the shoe more than the suede, but I had a major blowout on the Accel Slims where the toecap meets the ollie patch on the side in 2 weeks.
I would say if you don't  mind super gluing the stitching on that contact point then they would last you a few months, I just hate seeing that when I look down.

I got them true to size, but the toe-box definitely stretch out making it feel a little less stable in the forefoot.
I back SoleTech quality though, they've really upped their game since the mid-00's. (Better insoles/construction)

Not to stray off topic but your sig is so fucking sick.  I always wish I was able to skate those when they were still concrete.

But I guess to play along,

these.  I really like the way they fit me mostly, and they were the last size in that color at my local so got a discount.  Digging them so far.

Busenitz Samba Vulc / Busenitz  Vulc:  A Quick Comparison

The Busenitz vulc is your standard vulc shoe.  Grippy, mildly comfortable, fits pretty good, and gets shredded pretty fast (especially the old sole).  So, it's understandable people are a little hesitant to spend a little more money on the new Busenitz samba vulc.

At first glance, the Busenitz samba vulc really is just a samba upper built on top of the busenitz vulc sole.  But... there are some differences that make it a lil bit different...whether the differences are better or worse depends on what you like your shoes to fit like

The Toe

The toe of the Busenitz Samba vulc is narrower and a bit pointer...however, the inside of the toe is deeper/roomier than the Busenitz vulc.  Most people size up .5 in the Buz vulc, but the Buz Samba fits truer to your regular size thanks to the roomier toe.

The Fit/Heel lock

Again, the Buz Vulc and Buz Samba vulc look the same in the heel area.  They both have those lil pillows to hold your heel in place, however, maybe due to the leather construction, the Buz Samba pillows are firmer and hold your heel in better than the Buz vulc.  Also, the Buz Samba vulc has some extra lace eyelets which really help to secure the shoe around the top of your foot.  I know some Pals (i.e. Heritage) have made their own extra eyelets on the Buz vulc...so, it's nice to see the Buz Samba vulc fit better in that respect.

In general, the Buz Samba Vulc, again could just be just because of the leather, fits firmer/closer to your foot and it feels like it is less likely to blow out on the sides.

It would have been awesome if Adidas gave the Busenitz Samba vulc a lil booty/attached tongue like the Samba ADV supposedly has... I don't have a pair of the Samba ADV, but the tongue sounds comfy

The Sole

The sole of the shoes are exactly the same.  I heard Adidas was going to re-work the sole because everyone was burning through the soles in days... but it doesn't really seem any better or worse.  I'm pretty delicate on the soles of my shoes, so I'm not the best person to judge whether it's any better.

The Insole

The insole on the Busenitz Samba vulc (pic on the right) is a lil nicer than the Buz vulc...better material and the top of the insole has a nicer mesh type material.

Which one?

The Busenitz Samba vulc fits my foot more securely, thanks to the leather and the leather eyelets.  If you have a wide foot, I'd steer clear, especially if the Buz pro or Buz vulc are already "narrow" to you.  Hopefully they keep the Buz Samba around for a couple more colorways before killing it off.  If you're a fan of the Busenitz vulc, then definitely try these out.

Nice job!!!!!!!!
I saw the fall catalog, 2 new colorways :)

Yeah. 40 seconds each shoe, then put one on and walk around, repeat, repeat, repeat. Wear your thickest pair of socks and/or wear 2 pairs at once.

Also if you're feeling gutsy, take one of those sealable sandwich bags and stick them in the shoe, then put the shoe in the freezer. Water expands when it freezes so it'll stretch them out a little bit.

Had some figgys where the right shoe fit way tighter than the left shoe, and the freeze bag didn't really help me. What did however, was combining socks wringed in alcohol and stuffed in the shoe with a shoe stretcher. The heat from the alcohol will help the suede expand, but could possibly cause some discoloration for a non-black shoe.

Three times today I have microwaved them for 30 seconds and then walked around for a few hours (I am at work now). Now they are starting to feel a little less stiff.

I also put in the secondary laces, laced them real loose and one hole from the top, and they feel even better now. Not so narrow/tight/snug but still secure.  Gonna have to use to the lack of board feel though seeing as my last several shoes were thin vulcs.

Found these randomly browsing this shoe store out here called WSS, they were on sale for 30 bucks; it was too good of a deal to pass up. Haven't skated them yet, only been wearing them around the house to break em in, but so far they feel comfy as hell.
