lunarlon is legit no joke ... been skating cup soles for years due to my bad back but these few pair of cons I've picked up recently are all super comfortable ( once you figure your size out )  Also cool to support MAnderson and an animal friendly product
those are some sexy are shoes. actually that model is tempting me to the dark side (i.e. give nike money) because I just want be like check your head-era beastie boys. For reference how many sizes did you go down/ up?

For anyone who’s skated the eS Seslas, how’s the durability with the standard lacing option? I know you can lace them up thru the alternate loops on the inside but how likely are they to rip if you have them laced on the outside?

I would just like to say nike elite socks are real nice for skating, speacialy with thinner shoes.

I'm usually 8.5 in almost everything, 7.5 fits me perfect in these.  If you go to the nike/converse site though, there is a true fit guide that allows you to put in other shoes you've worn and it tells you what size it thinks you should go with.  It told me 7.5 but I had the chance to try them on first anyway.  But seems to work.

^nice black reynolds G6, I just restored some beaten up 4yo adidas ronan (great shoes, too bad they stopped doing them), with 2 layers of rubber from an exploded soccer ball found in the hood, stoked to skate them again !

put some thick etnies marana insoles in, such a comfy shoe

Great work!
I used to do this a lot as a poor kid in a 90's.
It was only way to extend life of shoes that were very expensive for me back then.
For soles I used rubber from old bike/motorbike tire inner tubes that I would find in rubbish and for upper I would use suede from old shoes that were beyond repair.

Oh, and those Etnies Marana insoles are really great, very comfy and great cushioning without being too thick.
SoleTech should use them in more of their shoes.

^thanks man
I usually use some truck inner tube(perfect thickness) but i use my last piece on other shoes and shock pads, wish I found that technique earlier, money saver for sure !

how well does fixing up the soles actually work? i have no qualms using old patches of suede to fix up holes (especially since i usually just skate old skools i get for cheap off ebay) but for me when the soles done its usually time to retire them

the only pair of shoes i've had where the soles outlasted the upper was a pair of mid janoskis with the gumsole, uppers were wrecked but the soles were still in real good condition

^it stays in place, only have to put a new rubber patch when it's totally used, and if the upper is still good, it lasts one month max

Skating these eS Seslas I got for a cool $35. Took til my 3rd session to fully get used to them but they’re  good to go now! Really like the sole and the runners toe. Went half a size up as recommended by es. So far they’re very solid shoes, just a couple minor gripes so far.

The shoelaces are long as hell. When laced all the way up there’s still a good half foot or more worth of lace left at the top. I swapped em out for some other rope laces you can buy at the store which helped shorten them up a bit. The outer lace holes look like they’d get shredded instantly, so you’ll probably have to use the internal lacing at some point if you don’t do that from the jump. Also, there’s one less lace loop on the inside lacing. At first I did all internal lacing with the last one on the outside but ripped the OG laces on that outer loop in one session doing heelflips, so again you might as well just go with the internal lacing. I like my shoes tied tight and even tho i wish there was an extra loop, they’re still secure enough for me. I was launching over some shit yesterday at high speeds and wasn’t worried about em, so they’re good there.

My only real concern is the mesh sidewall on this particular colorway. While the rest of the shoe seems pretty durable, I’m already starting to rip some small holes into it so it remains to be seen how long they’ll last. My last eS’s were deceptively durable in the sense that I thought they’d rip through at a certain point but lasted a good 2-3 weeks later. Hopefully these are the same in that regard.

So far tho, I’m hyped on em and happy I got em cheap

I totally agree. I love how simple and sleek the gray is but that blue stripe really makes the shoe.

Bummer you’re having no luck man.

The brown ones look sick too (still like the gray a little better though.)

Picked up some pretty much brand new P-Rod 1s on ebay. Super hyped on these. Planning on skating them eventually.
